Matta Fair

Today, due to an impulse decision, I went to the Matta Fair with my cousin and her friend. While my ‘escorts’ were too busy flirting with each other, I went around as much counters as possible, asking about as much as possible. My areas of interest in particular, are those island holidays, especially those in the Peninsular. I had planned to go snorkelling or diving with my friends on some island somewhere here so might as well check out what’s on offer. I found a few interesting ones :D.

I also checked out Borneo holidays. Which is an odd thing seeing as I am from Sarawak. However, Sarawakian I may be, I have never been on one of those ‘rainforest adventure holidays’ that our state boasts about so much. So I decided that this year end I will go exploring at least one cave!! And go jungle trekking. Have a feel of the rainforest of my home state, you know :/.

There was a lot to see at Matta Fair, so I went ‘international’. I’ve always wanted to go to Japan ever since my last trip there on 2002. I saw a lot of interesting travel packages, but none of them go to exactly the places I want, like Nagasaki. And also, if you guys aren’t familiar with tour groups, they are a hassle. It’s always full of either old Chinese aunties or old Malay men. And they tend to ‘take over’ the tour.

I don’t know where the males and females of either races are.

So I stuck to my original plan: go on a free and easy tour of Japan on my own, with friends, after graduation. So I texted Totchi and told her to start saving cause we’re going to tour Japan after graduation XD.

I went to the Japan International Tourism booth and got myself some brochures, including a detailed map of Tokyo and Japan. I have about two years to start gathering funds and plan my trip. But funnily enough, the best part of the trip is not the actual trip itself, but the planning, especially the financial part. This trip will only encourage me more to start making money passively. Part of my life plan is to already be making money before I graduate.

I’m excited to to see how they will turn out hehehe.

Ta’ra!
