Namesake
Most people would have a namesake; someone whom you were named after. My brother’s namesake was pretty obvious. It was my paternal grandfather and motherhood didn’t seem to tire at reminding us how lucky he was to be the only grandchild given permission to have the name by my grandmother.
Hmmm, now that I think about it, most of my siblings have a namesake. My sis’s was a modified version of my mom’s name, my brother my grandfather, but I’m not so sure as to my two younger sisters. We’d like to say Sarah was named by one of the prominent female figures in Islam but then again, we didn’t actually thought of her when we named her. It was only by coincidence since we all liked the name since it sounded…funky. And the other sister, well, it’s just a very…common name. xD
Either way, among my siblings I have the longest name, having a three part name instead of two. It can be an annoyance since my dad’s name is three part too.
And of course, I go by my middle name. People who call me by my third name is abruptly met with a glare.
The namesake of my middle name is Farah Pahlavi, born Farah Adiba, or more commonly known as the last Empress of Iran.
And I’m not making this up. I asked motherhood.
As you can see, my namesake is still alive. She’s 69 years old this year, but if you ask me, she looks good for her age, no?
Currently, the whole of the last Iranian monarchy are living in exile, and she spends most of her time in Paris now, although she has houses in several countries.
Look at her when she was younger! I wonder what her mother fed her. I wish my mom had fed me the same thing.
Am especially liking that dress.
Sighs. It’s unfair how some people can be so effortlessly pretty. We have the same name but I’m not feeling as pretty. Oh, inferiority complex…
I hope I’ll look as good when I reach her age though O_O.
Just now I did another mind map for a topic in Law. I was looking for something constructive to do to exhaust my mind. I’ve mentioned how my mind has the tendency to do a 90mph on the treadmill as I go to bed, so hoping now it’s exhausted enough to go to bed.
So I did this mindmap.
Yeah, I know, it doesn’t look much like a mind map. I was actually following this format in a book. But that format only works when you represent one point with one word. But that’s impossible with law isn’t it? You need to elaborate on things, whether you like it or not. I tried. Wasn’t too bad hehehe. Sure is colorful though.
Ah, of course, there’s probably little chance that I’ll be re-reading it hehehe. Writing it down was study on itself. It gives a sort of framework since you have to skim down the topics and subtopics, see which one has many points.
Yep, I’m proud of my little work.
Ta’ra!

Indeed. sometimes when your name is so common just about anyone from two generations ago can be your namesake. sighs. It’s no wonder Nicholas Cage named his son Kal-el.
My mind map IS confusing. But at least it’s pretty! Hahahaha.
