My Brief 80-ringgit Trip

I hate using the touchpad. It’s the root of all evil.

Anyway, I went to Normah the other day to get my nose checked and paid 80 ringgit just to hear the doctor say my nose was perfectly fine.

That Dr. Kho was too cool that he’s almost evil. But in a good way I guess. Maybe.

Some of you might already be familiar with my sneezing frenzies and my sometimes over-sensitive nose problems. It could start off as a harmless morning flu and then ended with a terrible cold, complete with watery red eyes. It sucks. But the doctor said it was normal to have a nose like mine and noted that my breathing was fine. I asked him a lot of questions, just to be sure, but they all came back negative. He basically said there’s nothing we can do and just live with it.

Like I said, evil.

I asked him if it was fine to be taking too much medicines: Clarinase, Rinafort and Telfast D. He was amused at my selections but still said it was okay. No side effect. Nothing. I can go on taking the meds for my whole life when the symptoms come and there won’t be any negative effects. To make his point clearer, he made me sit at a fancy chair and stuck a slim camera on a stick into my nose. and I could see the images on a computer screen. He pointed out how pink and healthy the insides of my nose were. And too much sneezing will not wear them out, no matter how strong of a sneeze I might release.

This doctor just won’t bulge would he?

Therefore I humbly resorted to my fate. At least I won’t have to worry about any disease or anything, unless something weird comes out of my nose or …something.

But one thing I did enjoy about that day was, I went with my younger sis you see and he called my sis "your friend" and then we told him we’re actually sisters. And you know what he said? He can’t tell who’s older!! Waaah so happy!!

Because you see, I’ve been in this situation so often with my elder sis and between the three of us, there are four years difference!! So it was nice to have the tables turned for a change, even if it’s someone else at the other end hehehe.

Lately I’ve been a bit more studious than usual. I went for one-hour sessions at the library while my lil sis goes for her swimming lesson. And I just found out yesterday they had shortened the operating hours from 11 am - 7 pm, as opposed to before 10 am - 9 pm. I quite liked their late opening hours :/. But I guess it should be pretty troublesome for the staff, having to go back late every night. For now I won’t bother myself asking for the exact reason for the change in operation hours though.

Last night I tried doing mind maps. I always have an aversion towards mindmaps because I find reading words that are splattered all over the place very mafan. But I did it anyway, and made it colorful at the same time. After I was done doing it, I still squeezed in a lot of words. I mean, this is Law we’re talking about here, not physics! Explanation is everything! And the finished product was….

Well, if mind maps were a reflection of how things are in a person’s mind, then mine is an accurate picture of that. D:

My mind is a mess.

Either way, study is still important. I need to redeem my pride.

Ta’ra!
