Happy 301th post to me!!!
And I noticed I have used up 54.44% of my Friendster blog space. So 300 more posts to go till I totally use them up eh? Hehehe.
Anyway, it’s Sunday night and I just got back from BB. I had planned to go back on Saturday but ended up slashing that plan altogether. Either way, I just have to go back before Monday, when my study plans will kick off!
My weekend was pretty interesting. First, I was fickleminded and wasn’t sure if I should go on Friday or Saturday. Then, on Friday morning, my cousin called. I was on the brink of waking up at that time so it took me a while to recognize her voice. She asked me what’s up and everything and whether I’m going to KL anytime soon. All of the sudden, the switch in my mind flicked on and I told her yeah, I’m going to KL today afternoon and will probably arrive about 4-4:30 pm. Then she said if I would like to check out the PC Fair with her at KLCC since she’s currently doing an internship at Petronas.
Honestly, I knew the PC Fair was going on this weekend, but I have no intention of going there since I am not planning to get anything. But I do want to go to KLCC the shopping complex just for the heck of it.
Either way, I agreed to go to PC Fair with her. After all, it’s not often I get to hang out with this particular cousin. And it’s always fun watching her shop hehehe.
So I went. I arrived earlier than I told my cousin but later than I estimated. The bus got crowded. I hate crowded busses. The thing is, even though you may get a seat at first, but when some kids or elderly people come along, you’re just embarassing yourself by sitting down. Besides, my pride doesn’t allow me to keep my seat when some old people come along. And it happened often. Normally, it just takes one person to give up his/her seat to put the rest of the passengers to shame. Wahahaha.
One thing I noticed is that, when you selflessly give up your seat to kids or the elderly, the whole bus becomes your friend. And when the next available seat presents itself, almost everyone would point you out to it. Therefore, I almost always get a seat after I gave up mine ^^. You should try it too :P.
I really want a seat at the back of the bus instead of the aisle ones. I call them ‘un-give up-ables’ since people don’t normally go as far back for a seat.
ANYWAY, back to the PC Fair. I had known from friends that KLCC’s PC Fairs are huge, but I never thought it’d be this huge and orderly. Once you enter, you have no choice but to follow the cycle till the end. They have different rooms for different things. They go something like, entrance –>laptop –>audio & speakers –> cameras –> accessories –> exit. But you can’t go back once you exit a section too, which sucks. So always go there with the intention of buying. Now that I know, I’m kinda glad I wasn’t planning on buying anything.
My cousin was looking for a pink 4 gig thumbdrive. Since we didn’t find one, she didn’t buy anything. Then we went for a drink at Coffee Bean where she was treating and then watched a movie, Meet The Robinsons. It was so totally unplanned it was great! xD.
I went back pretty late, at about 10-something that day. I took a taxi home and my taxi driver was an incompetent who doesn’t know where Radius Hotel was and I loved it! Sometimes incompetent taxi drivers are better than those smart-alecs who just know everything better than you do. My fair was 3.70 but I gave him 5 and let him keep the change, since it was night and he was so easy to deal with.
The next day, Saturday, I went on my obligatory shopping. I went through Metrojaya a few times until I get a headache and nearly fell asleep on my feet looking for something to get. There really was nothing that interested me at all. But not using those vouchers would be a waste. So I bought two shirts, and they cost 72 ringgit together. With the vouchers I paid only 22 for two shirts. Man. Then, in the same building was MPH where I have a 16 ringgit rebate to claim. I bought this book which I knew beforehand costs 16.90. I used my rebates and paid only 90 cents!
Waahhh shopping was so cheap it feels like stealing!
Today I didn’t do much though. Just cleaned the house and stuff.
Oh yeah, my marble cheesecake was sooo nice I forgot to take a picture of it whole, so all I could take was this. Hahaahaha.
It was the richest cheesecake I’ve had since Bing! Even though it’s not as rich as Bing, it still had that dizzying effect cheesecakes often give me, so it is still good. ^^. I’ll be getting more tomorrow :D.
Well, I know it’s half an hour to midnight, but I still haven’t eaten dinner and my food is calling for me. So ta’ra!
