Future Feasabilities EDITED
Note: I don’t know what went wrong with this post. Everything suddenly got mixed up, with paragraphs appearing out of order.
No library visit again today. SGWSS (Sabahan Girl Who Speaks Sarawakian) is expecting a delivery of a bookshelf she bought two weeks ago so she has to stay home to receive it :/.
And now, at a quarter past four, I have yet to study anything. Soon, though. Just taking my time. My horoscope for yesterday was so smack on the head I almost believed it had really been looking into my mind! Lookie:

Listening to someone is never a waste of time, no matter how impatient you may feel. What is a waste of time is making a hasty decision that turns out to be the wrong decision — and then you have to go back and start all over again. You need to be more patient right now, and focus on research and planning rather than taking action. Put in the time it takes now to make the right choices, and listen to the opinions of people who care about you.
This is so especially true since the last couple of days I’ve been going around getting as much info as I can about doing online business from people and places (I’m talking about websites of course). Security, web host stability and functionality seem to be questions that come out on top. I try to solve this problem by selecting one web host that will cure all. Although, none is ‘perfect’, a well-known one sure gives you more confidence than a super-cheap third party’s, don’t you think? Especially since you’re a total newbie who can’t even design your own website :D.
But reading Sen Ze makes me feel like a rip off. So I took whatever lesson I could and stash it away. :/ Although I like the coat he wore on the cover page :D.
I was talking to this friend who you might call is a bit of an…eccentric. He abhors Windows therefore creates his own Linux system from scratch and now manages his mom’s site, selling cross-stitch online. Odd combination, but that’s people.
He gave me a lot of things to ponder about. Among other things is customer support:
Lucifiel says:
support? support for what?
Lucifiel says:
"please help a broke writer with your spare change" kind of support?
Jacob says:
no
Jacob says:
"hai i haev a putar… it wont read your file… i’m incapable of following simple instructions…"
Lucifiel says:
rotfl!!
Sometimes it pays to know an eccentric.
Most sites that are doing the business model I want have a large FAQ page. I shall need to remember that. And figure out a way to secure the database to prevent people from raping my system.
But it would sure be fun getting to know some locals who had actually done business online before. Know anyone you can introduce to me? xD
In that matter, then I feel if I were to really execute this plan, some of my choices are going to be pretty unpopular with those who have been in the field for a while. ^^
Last night I opened up this Horrible Histories book I have about Awful Egptians, after last night’s conversation escalated to Ancient Egypt. Did you know that those pharaohs just marry whoever they fancy? Even their own siblings! Cleopatra apparently married two of her own brothers; Ptolemy XIII and Ptolemy XIV. And get this, when she married Ptolemy XIII, she was 17 and he was 12!
But Ptolemy XIII died young, drowned in the Nile while he was escaping Cleopatra who was getting friendly with the Romans. Cleo simply married Ptolemy XIV, whom, I assumed, looking at his ‘number’, he’d be younger than Ptolemy XIII. She married not one, but two of her own brothers!
It’s just sick to think about…
Ta’ra!
p/s I might even re-read Mary Queen of Scots and Her Hopeless Husbands. Tis fun. Specially the cartoons.
