My Days Are Numbered

Three nights. I have spent three nights now I only have three more nights left. I think. I’m too lazy to count. Either way, Happy Chinese New Year! I’ll go crash Totchi’s house tomorrow :D. And maybe later on go to Bing’s, if it’s open. If not I’ll drop over before I go back anyway:D. My friend just informed a very exciting news last Thursday. She said our one remaining class next week is canceled!!!

Yay!! So this means next week after CNY I shall have no classes for the whole week!

And yeah, I have lotsa assignments too so bite me.

Anyway, I’ve thought of greeting Kujong at least once. I mean, it might not be possible to finish Suikoden 5 but at least, you know, just getting the gist of it is enough. I need some sort of inspiration to continue my story. Besides, I have been doing nothing but eat and sleep here. Like yesterday, in addition to waking up at almost 2 pm, I took a nap about 2 hours later, and after that, nap again. So I napped twice and slept at night at about 2 am or so. Usually I won’t be as tired. I think it’s tiredness due to sleeping too much. And I think I’m starting to sound like Totchi.

Also got attacked by a massive flu after my first night. It sucks, but oh well. I’m still nursing myself to health even now. Nursing myself to health…that’s so…sad.

I got a buttload of pics to share because the second day I was here, I went to a small wedding. I just arrived and I’m off to a wedding. How nice. But yesterday I got to bum around and do nothing. It’s been a while. I get to wake up and immediately eat lunch. Unlike my days at the hostel, when I wake up hungry it’s gonna be a while before I’m able to eat. Haa~

Oh yeah, the pics. I seem to have misplaced Katan’s PC cable. Still not sure whetehr it’s in KL or here. Hmmm. AT least with Kuja, Katan can bluetooth them over. Takes a while and can only be done one by one, but at least it’s better than nothing. I just checked out animesuki.com and man, there’s so many stuff to download! Among them is DeathNote the movie. Yeah yeah I haven’t watch it yet. But I’m actually waiting for the fansub because the cinema subs are barely readable and Japanese/Hong Kong-made English sub resembles nothing more than crap. (I’m not kidding you on this one).

My years of buying DVDs have made me aware of which DVDs or VCDs have good or bad subs. And when a DVD has NO English synopsis, and it’s ONLY indication is ‘Audio: 1. Japanese, and number 2 sitting on ‘…’, 1. Chinese 2. English’, TRUST ME. You do not want to be disappointed. Those Japs let those Hong Kong people do the subs and those Xiang Kang ren (HK in Pin Yin) are very lazy. They just translated the Chinese into English without any regards to meaning or whatever. When they did Angel Sanctuary, ‘Rociel’ becomes ‘Rikishiru’ and ‘Rishiru’ and whatever it is that didn’t even come close to the original name. ‘Katan’ was never got right. It was always ‘Kadan’ or something else. And why they always spell the names differently each time just escapes me.

That’s why, sometimes, no matter how much you want to support the anime by buying the legitimate DVD or VCD, you’re just gonna end up disappointed. So best to get the fansub and support them differently. I would only be tempted to buy the DVD or VCD when the fansub is of low-quality pictures but got the subbing right. Most subs are right. That said, I might even get Loveless on DVD because the fansub pictures were too bright. XD

I should get my arse back to my asses. So like, happy lunar new year! Ta’ra!
