My room bebeh
It’s the white tile floor I’m telling you! They are the villains! I mean, back home my room was parquet flooring so I can’t see much of the dust and the hair. But here I am bothered to sweep the floor at least once a week. Because I can see the hair all over the place. sighs.
You know what? The more I clean this place, the more I realize how the previous tenants had lived like a pig. They moved out about three days before I move in. But when I moved in, there were dusty webs all over the door frame and the fan was nearly invisible underneath all that dust. Come on! Those dusts couldn’t have accumulated in a few days could they?
Exactly!
And to top it all off, there were three girls in this room before. Not even one of them was bothered by it!? I’m telling you, these people are insane. I mean sure, they had only lived her for 3-6 months or so since the room they wanted wasn’t available yet. Even if their stay had been temporary, is it so hard to clean their own room?? When I came here, the first thing I did was heavy cleaning. There’s just no way I’m going to sleep with a dust-infested fan. I even cleaned out the doorframe just because!
I was not going to stay overnight in a filthy room, so regardless if it was mine or not, I will clean it first. But I guess the previous tenants had thought since they own none of the stuff in here they just didn’t care.
The attitude people have.
When I came here I didn’t waste time to make it look like my room. It took a while but I’ve added posters to cover the table, replaced the drabby white curtains and stuffed books on the other desk. I still have to get rid of the newspapers covering the lower half of the window (since its a full-lenght window) and give the window a good wash but at least it looks more livable. If you ask me: "would you do all this even if you were moving out next month?"
My answer is yes.
Of course I wouldnt put up the curtains and posters. I’m talking about the going all out on the cleaning stuff.
But mehhh I don’t even like the previous tenants. It took me a lot of pestering to get them to pay their overdue bills. Thanks to their delaying and whining about asking for discounts coz they are away for weeks for a holiday (so technically they are not around for a full month), the accumulated bill for each individual was RM 35.86. One of them paid only 30, the other hadnt paid at all. Then I pestered my classmate who is their roommate in their new pad. In addition to the remaining 5.80, I even got the other 35.80 from the other girl. If I had had it my way, I would ask for the 6 cents too you know.
But this room has me now. It even has a distinct strawberry scent. Tee hee hee.
Ta’ra!
