Marimo is Proven TOUGH!!
Yes, Marimo has been proven tough. How?
Well it all started yesterday. Yeah, the eventful day. As I was driving back from Swinburne with a big grin on my face since all the hard subjects are over, BAM! …I rammed onto a Vios.
Look what I did to its rear bumper.
Not a pretty sight is it? Here’s another one I took as I was led by them to the Toyota dealer for check up.
As you can see, it’s a pretty new car. The old guy said it’s only been a month since he got it. So, done looking at these two pics? Look at Marimo.
Not a scratch! Just look at him as the green guy grins with glee. So no physical evidence that I had a little accident. I don’t really have a need to inform my parents or anyone about it except for the fact that my bank account is still a minor’s account and I have to change it from my dad’s name to mine first.
I think the old guy and his wife weren’t very happy not just because I ruined their new car, but because I was too cool when dealing with them. When I saw Marimo I went "woah!" and grinned.
And come on, he was a bank employee (who, judging from the car, probably just got promoted) but he was so slow. Not the driving though, the person. He kept saying ’so…so…so…’ and didn’t know what else to do. We were at the Toyota dealer getting his claims’ estimation and the figure has been agreed on. Geez man if he just wanted money just tell me the time and date he wants them, really! Why the fukk does he want me to linger around anyway? Besides, I already gave him my particulars including my phone number. You won’t believe this guy…here’s a conversation I had with him…if you can call it that.
Old guy: *taking out his phone* So uh….
Me: You want my number?
Old guy: *nods*
Me: Your wife has it.
Old guy’s wife: *nods*
Old guy: Okay…so…
Me: So?
Old guy: So…*stares at the customer service guy as if he was the most beautiful thing in the world*
Customer service guy: *stares back at him* ….
Me: *exasperation*
*sighs* No wonder I have phobias against old men. But anyway, I told my dad about it just now and am willing to pay with my own money for the sake of my pride. The price was the same as this year by the way, but it was 994 ringgit below my estimation so that was good. And Marimo is grinning so that’s good too. Just hoping I wouldn’t have to deal with such a slow guy again in the future. But it was funny how that old guy didn’t bother arguing with me. I could argue my case and win if I wanted. But I’m a good person and I didn’t argue as a way of saying sorry for causing an inconvinience.
In fact, it wasn’t until we were about to leave the dealer that I remembered that I haven’t apologized. Hehehehe.
You know, after I hit their car and we stepped out to survey the damage I immediately went "So? How much do you think it will be?"
And the guy went "Uhh…"
I think, if I just drove away at that moment, he wouldn’t even try to stop me.
Oh on that note, I actually took a pic first, then talk. Hahaha!
A very eventful day indeed. I was actually looking forward to a relaxing weekend but oh well…shit happens. My dad was cool too. Probably cause Marimo was fine. But just to be on the safe side, he’s going to check with his friend at Toyota to make sure the guy actually repairs his car there. My account is going to take a bit of a dip, but I have no real need for the money right now. All my tuition fees are already covered (and more! mwahahaha!). Therefore it’s just this nagging thing that bothers me. Have to get this shit done by Monday.
I went to IRC and told this long-lost friend of mine about it. Here’s a piece of the conversation.
<Smap_Knight> Just as I finish my last hard paper for the finals…I rammed onto someone’s car!
<Smap_Knight> Hahahaha
<Templar> And you’re laughing?
I know, it’s not exactly an experience one should laugh at. But heh. it’s just funny to think about.
The Japanese finally submit to German technology !! This makes me love Marimo even more. He’s saved my behind so many times already. Ha~
