Woah!! It’s been over two weeks since my last post! Amazing. I wanted to blog a post before I left for KL but I kept forgetting and when I was in KL I seem to always delude the time to visit that cybercafe in Sungei Wang :D. But anyway, I’m back for now and I will leave again this Saturday. For good. I’m sure you guys are glad to see the back of me. Hehehehe.
So…I’ve been pestered on and on about how the ‘new place’ is so I’ll say a bit about it here. First up, about 50% of the stduents are that third main race in Malaysia. You know about the three major races in this country right? Well, it’s the third one. The one that makes up the lowest percentage. Yeah, that. I found saying it weird so I left you guys with hints.
So, knowing that, and given the fact that I’m a Sarawakian, it’s something totally new. I’m used to being surrounded by the first two races and with my experiences in Swinburne, I’m totally fine being surrounded by Chinese. But this…this is totally new. Oh and I’m not the only one who thinks this way too.
I went to the orientation but not the classes. Since my dad had to leave for Kuching and not come back unexpectedly, I had to take a cab from our apartment in Starhill to Puchong. A typical two-way journey is 40 ringgit. And that’s if you’re lucky. I was with our Uncle Cabbie. He’s sorta like our on-call cabbie so whatever fare he gives me, it’s the best one. Normally if you’re stuck in traffic, cabbies tend to charge more, but Uncle Cabbie has a flat rate. And we’re allowed to delay payment too!! His policy is ‘if you don’t have cash, don’t pay’ or ‘if you can’t pay full, pay later’.
It’s obvious to see why I didn’t go to the classes and their Bumiputra-only orientation on Saturday. I only went there again to settle my PTPTN loan (yes, I am taking a loan) and to submit my final results from Swinburne. So there’s another 40 ringgit. I ain’t gonna spend 40 ringgit everyday just to attend classes. Ain’t gonna happy, baby.
I have applied for lodging at the hostel apartments near the uni but my tenant starts at the last day of July since I still have to go back to Kuching to sort out some stuff. The apartment isn’t bad. I got a master bedroom with an en suit bathroom all to myself so that’s good hehehehe.
Let’s talk about the orientation now. Orientation was better than Swinburne’s, sorry to say, but some of you guys must agree that the Swinburne’s orientation kinda suck, right? Anyway, we did a lot of games and went around the uni in groups and if we can’t perform a task we’ll get marked with paint. Ideally on your face, but I somehow avoided that. My skin was breaking out big time and as much as I didn’t want them to taint my face with chemicals, they also didn’t dare place their brush there. Hehehehehehe. And I was the only one who got away with it too. So we pretty much run around the uni in groups, doing silly games here and there.
But my skin is healing because I found out Proactiv Solution is back on the shelves!! It is really good for major acne breakouts. After just one week, my skin had healed tremendously. Before, it hurts just to frown, then it went into massive dry-outs and ta-da! But unfortunately, during that course of one week, I met a lot of different people and had to answer their questions regarding my skin condition more times that I’d like. Especially this one aunty of mine. She kept saying she should ‘work’ me with her Aloe Vera Gold (she sells aloe vera products) and make me drink aloe vera juice to purify my blood!
*shudders* She scares me.
No thanks. I am fine with my Proactiv. I saw the ad on TV one day and was surprised to see the listings of malls that sell them. And scrolling across the screen was ‘BEWARE OF IMMITATION. NOT SOLD IN PHARMACIES’. Heh yeah, they got that right. I saw a few of the immitations and even used them when they actually replaced the real thing. They are only half as good as the real thing but moreover, they were very mafan to use. So after I saw that ad, I went to Times Square when I got to KL and saw that they actually have them! Since they don’t accept Amex charge cards, I paid cash. Not that I mind too much. The things you do when you are desperate, you know.
When I was in KL, I did a lot of major shopping. I now have a Kuja :D. And I even found a Kujong carrier. The vendors at Sg. Wang frustrated me coz they all don’t have Kujong carriers. I finally found one in Low Yat. Turns out it was the last one. But I’m not complaining hehehe. Even Katan has new clothes.
Here’s some pictures for you to look at. Lappy shopping was fun. But I finally found the one I wanted. It’s a Toshiba Satellite M100 series. I’ll be honest. I like it because of its color :P.
I finally stick with Kuja:
Yes, my lappy’s name is Kuja. I have decided on it long before I got one. So here this is Kuja. Doesn’t it look like a Kuja?
While I was going around lappy shopping, I found the limited edition FIFA laptop. Its got all the best specs with a gold chasis and white innards. The normal price was 5999 but the store gave me 5600 and that’s the lowest any store would give you. But I declined!! I must have KUJA!! oh yeah, when I came back to that store, they don’t have the FIFA anymore, but has something else on display. A Lamborghini special edition lappy. Check it out. and Check out the price too. I bet you, half of the price is just for having the name ‘Lamborghini’ plastered on the chassis.

And it’s made by Asus. Asus isn’t very reliable. Trust me, for whatever reasons, it’s not worth the money. Wait till the price comes down a bit if you wanna buy it oh-so-desperately.
Oh yeah, Katan’s new clothes. A back and front pic.
For all I know, Katan is happy with his new clothes hehehe.
Now, the Kujong carrier. Kujong couldn’t wait to try out his new…home on the road.

All of his extensions will definitely fit in there. I am therefore, pleased.
*sighs* when I came back I was looking forward to re-watching Pirates of the Caribbean 2 with Totchi but I had a fever!! Damn fever!! I had to cancel and now Totchi is busy D’:. I guess there’sno re-watching of Pirates 2 now. *sniff sniff*
Oh yeah, I just checked my MUET results see if there are any specifics mentioned, but all it said was ‘band achieved’. I got a band 6 wheee. That’s one Swinburne record broken. hehehe.
It’s noon. I should shower. Ta’ra!
p/s Sir Thursday is out!! Yay!
