I thought I was at the actual final dungeon of Tales of Legendia and after I fought the final boss, the credits roll. They showed all the Japanese names of sound editors, programmers, battle tools coordinators and all that. But in the end, the game went on…

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!??!

Not that I’m complaining. I thought Chapter 4 was the final chapter, then it went on to chapter 7, which I think is the real ending, but now this!? A chapter called "Introduction: Character Quest". A strange yet fitting name for a final chapter of the game (probably). I think there’s still a bit more ways to go from here since you can still fight and all that. It sucks when after the final boss you still have to go to the shops and buy stuff.

Then again, it might not even be the final boss…and I was even ready to check the game guide on gamefaqs.com too! I always check the guides after Im done with a game. see what I missed and stuff.

The game goes on!

I like games like this. It leads you to what you think is the final boss and when the fight’s over, there are still things left unanswered! And turns out, you’re not done yet! This so reminds me of Final Fantasy. This is also what makes Legaia 2 a bit boring. You see the final boss early in the game. There’s no mystery at all, except for ones that you know you’ll eventually find out or are not important enough.

Anyway, Im out. Ta’ra!

Edit: I checked gamefaqs.com. There’s another 7 minor chapters to complete. all Character Quests hehehe.

Life IS as we know it.

Wow…my blog posts are steadily going towards the big two zero zero. Amazing isn’t it? My monitor is currently being repaired so for now I have to depend on other computers. Mainly my elder sis’s. When I get my monitor back I have a few pics to show. Pics like, the pies baking in the oven downstairs wooo :D.

Tonight is Gym Night! It’s not exactly a big event or anything compared to the Gawai celebration at the amphitheatre. But I just wanna get out of the house. I need to watch Cars soon and after the final exam, I will watch Pirates of the Carribbean 2. Captain Jack Sparrow is so damn sexy! But of course, I have to time my trip here. I need to do some shopping in KL first, then come back to sort out my stuff before leaving again. I really hope this is all worth it.

But anyway! I’m finally at what I think is the actual final dungeon of Tales of Legendia. Yay! I’ll be done with this game soon. So that means or ‘thats mean’ hahahaha that I can play Suikoden V! Yay! After the final exam I’ll be a Suikoden sucker version V! Recently I heard there’s a Final Fantasy XIII. Final Fantasy XII is not even released yet. Man. These guys are fast! But no worries! With Kujong by my side, we will sail through these games no problem!

Regarding dealing with people, I’ve learnt a lot lately. Some people can have sucky attitude. But I have higher tolerance towards people who matter to me. I just categorize them into two types. One type, if they did something wrong to me or anything, I am willing to overlook and forgive. But the second type, if they do the same thing, I might not talk to them again, avoid them or, I just won’t care and we’ll go on as usual. When I said I don’t care, I really mean, don’t care. They can jump off a building and die and I wouldn’t even blink an eye. These are people whom I don’t consider as friends in the first place. I mean, who cares if your enemies stab you in the back anyway? That’s what enemies do.

Ultimately, it all comes down to tolerance. It’s like a game of pushing and pulling. You just gotta know how much to push and pull. But with people you dislike, you tend to push and pull to your own comfort without caring about how that person feels.

Ah well. Such is life.

Ta’ra!

Chickens have fat

Tuesday, June 13th, 2006

Man it’s been a while. Not having a monitor sucks so bad. I kept forgetting to send it for repairs too. But there’s a good side of it. Due to the absence of my monitor, I’ve been spending quality time with Kujong :D. And he’s happy with the attention! I took Tales of Legendia for a further 11 hours and I think I’m near the ending. Well, actually, I thought I already finished it, but it just kept going. Don’t know if it will end soon though. The ‘final boss’ fight seemed too easy. But anyway, I’m still happy. Now I have allocated time for Kujong, the gym, studying and homeworking. If things keep up, I will be playing Suikoden V soon. I really want to play it on my TV. Because it’s big and flat. I mean, I don’t know if I would even GET one when I move out O_O.

Final exam coming soon, that’s why I’ve been busy studying too. It’s amazing how many topics I covered in one night. One hour of concentration is worth more than ten sleepless nights. Oh and on that note, I won’t lose my sleep over something as trivial as exams.

My legs have been sending me a message saying ’stop abusing us or we’ll really hate you’. Hahaha! I just noticed that I’ve been going to the gym for four days straight. Wednesday (tomorrow) is supposedly gym day, but I’ll skimp it heh. Have discussion going on. Since no gym tomorrow, I’ve decided to fast. So I made sandwiches just now. I made one cheese sandwich and two chicken sandwiches for sahor (waking up before dawn to eat, you know). I even boiled the chickens myself! Impressive huh? Yep, I bet you’re impressed. Hehehe. But they were both chicken wings. I would prefer chicken breasts though. Man, boiled chicken look weird. They are so white and…empty. And they don’t really look appetizing too. At least there’s no flour or herbs to cover up the fat so they were all stripped clean! Hehehe!

I remember the last time I thought chicken unappetizing was during raya. That time, we were stripping fat away from frozen chicken. I wouldn’t let our guests eat so much fat. My mom didn’t care at first, but I insisted. So I took to the knife and stripped the fat as much as I could. I’d say at least 80% of them fat are gone when I was done. I think there were about three big pails full of them.

Boy did I avoid chicken that whole season :|.

We are seriousy running out of foodstuff in this house too.

Ah well, I guess I should stop bothering my sis while she’s sleeping hehehe. Ta’ra!

p/s God I miss Hyde so much.

p/s/s and to someone, happy birthday!!

Why You Should Never Shop with an Empty Stomach.

Or you might end up with stuff like this:

Foodstuff Is it obvious that I was hungry? I just got back from the gym, that’s why. I bought MyviTo after I saw it on TV. It’s not sweet like other Julie’s crackers. I think I’m a sucker for any snacks with ‘healthy’ on it. This Vito thing comes in three packs. Red, black and green. Red was boring wheat, and black was seaweed. The one I bought was alfalfa and spirulina (whatever those are). It sounds ‘healthy’ doesn’t it? So I bought that. Besides, every small pack inside it has only 70 calories and it doesn’t taste bad either. I can’t complain.

Oh yeah, that Maggie mee in my cup has only 135 calories. Says so here:135 What I don’t get is, why certain instant noodles have 1000+ calories while others have only 300+ calories. Take for instance, Maggie’s cup noodle has about 350 calories, but Mamee Sluurp’s cup version, the one with Mawi’s face on it, contains 1165 calories. And they both have the same serving size! Unsurprisingly, Mamee Sluurp sells very well. The shelf was almost empty when I got there today. I don’t think those people care about calorie counts anyway. I think they just bought them because Mawi and friends did the ads. I just don’t like the idea of downing  more than half of my daily caloric requirements on instant noodles. Especially one with an AF lamer on it.

I made a resolution today. I’ve decided to return to being a ‘true gamer’; someone who plays at least an hour of game a day. Only that, I will try to play at least 2 hours of game. Below are the list of games I have decided to play:

1. Suikoden V - have it, but must finish Tales of Legendia first.

2. Tales of Legendia - halfway done. Can’t play Suiko V until I finish this.

3. Magna Carta-Tears of Blood - Umm…hard game to play. Stopped before I even started…

4. Phantom Brave - …Forgot I even have it…shame on me. ’specially after how hard I looked for it.

5. Tekken Tag Tournament - Good for mindless bashing around. Button smasher.

6. Tekken 4 - shows that I’m sorely outdated in the world of Tekken.

7. Kingdom Hearts 2 - Don’t have it yet.

8. Kingdom Hearts - Started, then stopped. Need to finish this before moving to KH-2.

9. Final Fantasy X - Unmotivated to play.

10. Final Fantasy X-2 - Don’t have it. Far from motivated to play :|.

11. Final Fantasy XII - In wishlist. MUST get it.

12. Valkyrie Profile 2- Silmeria - In wishlist. I will devour this game when I have it.

As you can see, except for Tekken, the rest of the games are RPGs. I am obviously an RPG sucker. I will be so proud if I end up with carpal tunnel syndrome after I’m done with all these games. Also, I think when I move out I will definitly get myself a TV too. It won’t be as big as my current one, but it will do. And of course, Kujong will come with me. I’m currently saving to buy him a bag :D. The prices for those PS2 carriers should decrease considerably by now. It’s not that I don’t have a bag to carry him in, but those carriers are more convinient. After all, I might be moving him around a lot too there and that carrier can become extremely useful.

But for now, I have to send this monitor back to its rightful place. …and maybe do a little dusting too while I’m at it. My sis’s desktop is so dusty :/.

Those shall all take palce after dinner.

Random Picures 2

Monday, June 5th, 2006

Okay, first we have J&J’s roti canai I talked about. I think I mentioned its squarish-ness.

Roti_canai The curry is a bit too salty for taste, but it’s not bad though. I think it was made specially for the roti canai. If you can’t see it, the roti canai was actually loosely cut into squares.

I mentioned in one of my previous posts that I saw Ruffedge at Parkson. Here are some photos of that too:

Ruffedge

RuffRuff1_1Ruff2_1 I just hung around long enough to take these pics then I’m off to Star to watch my movie. I think these guys were promoting the movie Tipah Tertipu. Like I said, I’m not a fan so I didn’t stay long enough to hear the details. I think it was pretty stupid to be promoting on a Wednesday.

Next is my neighbour’s (aka cousin) cat,

Smokey

SmokeySnokey2Smkey3He always hangs out in our garage. And he’s so big. But like all cats, he’s a bit of a snob. :P

Mother’s Day card

Card We like our cards big :|.

That’s all. Ta’ra!

As you can see, I do listen to others’ opinions too. :P

Monday, June 5th, 2006

I was told my blog posts were too long. It’s not like I am not aware of that. To be honest, I’ve been meaning to shorten them a bit too but as you can see, when it comes to blogging, I can be quite the extrovert :/.

Today I went to feed the fishies two whole bags of hardened bread butts instead of going to the gym. I shall go burn some fat tomorrow and Wednesday. But comes Wednesday I have to install the monitor back to its original place. Then I shall need to decide either to fix my monitor or get a new one. The latter option sounds more appealing, of course. Hehehe. I’m kinda getting used to having a sexy 17 inch flat screen on my desk. But the monitor (either old or new)won’t be staying with me for very long. In fact, this whole PC won’t be staying with me for long. I’m getting a lappy soon. Wheee!

I think I just received half of my pocket money for this month. On the other hand, asking for that other half would be a pain. I hate asking for money :/. But receiving them is soooo fun? :|.

Oh yeah, yesterday I was reminded how hard it was to peel fruits. I haven’t done any peeling since…I was ten or so. Back then I was a sucker for french fries so I made my own. I washed, peeled, cut and fried the potatoes myself. See how determined I was? But I really sucked at peeling because I always cut off a good portion of the potatoes together with the skin, so the potato peels would end up very thick. After a while I just gave up peeling and left it to someone else. But yesterday, I just had to peel the skin off that apple because it was thick and tasted like plastic. Good news was, my peeling skills have improved. It still needs work though. Just hoping I will get better through practice.

From now own I will peel my own apples.

OKay that’s all for today. The next post I’m gonna put up some pictures that didn’t get to get in on ‘Random Pictures’.

Ta’ra!

A Great Day is Today

Sunday, June 4th, 2006

Phew. Research assignment is finally done. Printed and binded. I don’t want to look at it anymore. It’s all dark turqoisey green. Well that’s one load off my shoulder.

It has been a long project and my partner and I worked hard on it. It’s one of those elaborate projects that was a nightmare. At least I had a good partner for this one. But I always end up doing the shitty end of things :/. Editing and compiling. Since I do a lot of these, I noticed that most people don’t know how extremely important it is to have an excellent command of the English language. If they had had good English, it would save me a buttload of work! I sometimes wonder what about those other groups who didn’t have anyone to edit their work. I mean, I could name only a handful of people who are good in English (excluding Owen :P. He’s American so that doesn’t count). I’m not trying to degrade anyone, but it would be a shame to lose marks over grammatical errors. It’s okay if you lose marks due to some mistakes in your answers, but for me, grammatical errors are unforgivable.

To be honest, in this case, I only lose in terms of more work piling up on me. But the end result is, our project would be free of grammatical errors. Such errors can be annoying to the lecturer given our current level of education. And annoyed lecturers give annoying marks. And that’s…annoying :/. On the other hand, I gain because… because…well, I get to check the end results before it is released into the world and correct whatever’s wrong. I am annoyed at grammar errors too. Also, father said something about what I gain through doing all the end work of compiling and editing. It couldn’t be to ‘improve my English’ because let’s just be frank here. How can I improve my own English through checking a lesser work? Mehh. forget what father said. I can’t remember.

Anyway, next have to get down and dirty with Marketing and wrap up on IT. This IT has become quite a sore spot, but what’s a smap to do but push forward regardless?

Yesterday I was too lazy to blog. It was a long day. I went to watch Benchwarmers with my friend. It was fun for a mindless laugh :D. Then we ate a light lunch of dim sum at TJ. Afterwards, we rendezvous at my friend’s house for cheesecake. We were supposed to go feed the fish after that, but she couldn’t go because of her mom. Her mom always ruin our plans. Grrr. But I was determined to feed those poor fishies so I went back home and dragged my sister instead :D. We ate dinner out that night, my sis and I, at The Bridge. Haven’t been there in a while. I don’t like the fact that they let smokers into the restaurant even though the whole place is open space. Or something. Which goes to say, there’s enough ventilation but not enough wind to keep the smoke. Yeah, so not happy about that.

Oh man. I just realized I missed Thunder Cats! D’:

Looks like I’m gonna have to wait til next week to watch bumpy muscle catmen in tights. Tomorrow’s Monday. Time to go back to class I supposed. And our fifth, and last journal entry is due next week too. It’s a bit sad though. I really like writing these journals because you can write about anything even about toast! I think my journal this time is about Marimo.

Check out his flat tyre:

Tyre I took this pic the day after I gave him a bath hehehe. Marimo wants his rubber ducky too. This is the second time in two days that he got a flat tyre. Turned out it was punctured somewhere but it was fixed the same day. Can’t go out with a punctured tyre can I?

Yesterday I bought sufficient amount of hard, bread butts to feed the fishies. And today I bought wholemeal bread for myself finally. Cant have breakdfast without bread! I mean, how can you have scrambled egg sandwich without the…sandwich…bread?

Hmm I think I’ve had a pretty good long weekend. I got my assignment done, at least. Well, except for a short one on Marketing and I got plenty of defrags and exercise. Now I think I am ready to take on the world again. :D

:8D~ I smell food. Time for dinner!

Ta’ra!

p/s Totchi Tin, I know I said I was going to watch X DVD this weekend but…I had stuff to do. My apologies :D.

p/s/s O’ Monitor o mine got 8 comments! Wow! Of course, 3 are from myself. But its always fun to receive them even if they are hate comments (like hate mails). But those comments are fun for my entertainment too.

I want my ten cents too

Friday, June 2nd, 2006

I was watching this live forum on TV1. It was between local film producers. The topic was "Malay viewers only like cheap local movies". Don’t ask me. I don’t know what they meant by ‘cheap’ either. The forum manager was Rosyam Nor, while the panels were Matnor (director for Mr. Cinderalla 1 & 2), Erma Fatima (Embun) and Ahmad Idham (do I need to tell you who he is?). Erma was such a biatch. She pretty much refuted every points by everyone else. I support Matnor to a certain degree and poor Idham couldn’t get much word in. Erma cut in everyone’s words and wouldn’t stop blabbing! Damn it I hate her.

Well here I’ll give my ten cents on the local movies too. You know what? I don’t entirely hate them. Some of them are good. Puteri Gunung Ledang and Sepet are some examples. And some of Afdlin’s Shauki’s films. Especially the newer ones. The crappy local movies are mostly Metrowealth’s productions. They always appear to be just another half-hearted mundane efforts. All they did was toss in a lot of popular singers-turn-actors (Erra, Vince, the AF lot) and hope people would watch it just cause their favorite stars are in it. But really…the movies are lame…

Man I’m out of ideas and I’m tired.

Oh yeah, today I went out to Parkson again with my sis (the younger one). We just went around mindlessly picking up small stuff here and there hehehe. After that, we went to the state library to feed the fishes. Should have brought more bread. It was fun. Feeding the fishes. Then we still had some time so we decided to visit grandmother. And what timing! She was sitting alone on the porch, as if waiting for us! Hahaha! Her maid was at my cousin’s, helping out at the house for the day. So we stayed there for a while, keeping her company.

It was a well unplanned day. I went to the gym, I went shopping, I went for recreation, then I went visiting! Four things in one day, wow! Tomorrow I shall go watch Benchwarmers. Whose Line Is It Anyway just now was so funny! I really miss watching that show everyday on Astro. But they are no longer aired. So you know :/.

Okay now it’s really time for bed.

Ta’ra

p/s I got some pretty interesting comments on the post ‘O Monitor o mine. Poor me, I had to read the typing of a dyslexic.

Random pictures

Thursday, June 1st, 2006

Here are some random pictures. First, look at a…

Drag Rice

Rice It’s actually the Lebanese rice at Little Lebanon. It doesn’t taste as good as it used to, but I must say, I’m impressed with the presentation. The black long things that looks like worms that goes in and out of that rice is actually a mee. Also, drag rice was actually a mispronounciation of fried rice. But I don’t have a pic of a fried rice, so this will do heh.

Okay, next is…

Tempting Bastards

Choc_1 Choc1 Choc2

Fitting name, huh?

Well, moving away from food, let’s go to the gym.

Let me introduce you to the:

Redemption Machine

Treadmill All mighty and powerful, it strikes fear into the heart of the sedentary.

And of course, not forgetting our lovely,

Gym Instructors.

Alen

Alenclare The lovely Alen and the dancing Clarence. They look cute together don’t they?

It seems Friendster won’t let me load pictures anymore (what errors!?). Guess I need to stop here.

Bye bye.

Unplanned defrag.

Thursday, June 1st, 2006

Today I went to Parkson. It was on impulse. I didn’t plan to go there. Well, maybe I did. But not today. But anyway.

It’s Gawai and there was a lot of people at Parkson. The Gawai promotion was on too. Man! 50-70% off! This is the time to get that cheap top you’ve been wanting. I would normally save my money for a KL shopping spree (which is sooner than I’d want), but these stuff are cheap. So you’re not really losing much. But anyway, I am so going back there tomorrow.

I didn’t buy a lot today. I just went there to pick up something at Guardian. The Guardian store near my house was out of stock of that stuff so I went to Parkson’s. But of course, before I bought it, I went around to look for other possible stuff to buy. I mean, I didn’t bring a lot of money to splurge so have to look at all of my options before I buy, right? That’s the pleasure of shopping alone. You have all the time you need, to ponder about buying something. Other than that thing, I bought a 5-pack snack size Snickers bar at Giant. :D These are smaller than the normal packs. I was actually looking for these, only smaller. You know, like the ones those Mars bars always come in. But Giant doesn’t have it.

Anyway, these smaller bars have only 196 calories as opposed to the normal pack which is 290. So you save 100 calories. Well, if you’re in a bet like mine, you’d watch your calorie intake too. I allocate 300 calories for snacking a day. I mean, with one meal being more or less 600 calories (lunch and dinner), times 2, equals to 1200. Breakfast is around 300, so 300×2 that’s 600, plus 1200 becomes 1800 calories a day. Minus 200 from exercise, you have 1600. I suppose that’s doable. If I lose my motivation, I’d just go visit soyouwanna.com again. It always lifts my spirit :D. But you know, I think I do go overboard sometimes. :/ It’s inevitable. But just a bit though.

I guess the point is to not feel guilty that you went for a binge. After you had your binge, jump back on the fitness wagon. I increased my exercise because with the rate of exercise I’m doing now, I am just maintaining my weight instead of losing them.

Aaaah well. Such is life.

I should take Marimo to visit grandma soon.

Ta’ra!
