Time
Time. Time is very important. I can’t emphasize more on this. Its just is. So I value time. Especially mine. And those I associate with. I don’t like people wasting my time therefore I won’t waste other people’s time. When I make an appointment, I try my best to be punctual. If I don’t have anything to do before, I will get there earlier. I would really appreciate it if people would take me by my words when I mention a time. Because I will stick to it. Perhaps I’ll be a late by a minute or two, but if I’m really late, I will definitely tell. Now why can’t people do the same? I don’t live by ‘Malaysian time’ I believe its against productivity. I like to be told when I’m not on time. It keeps me aware.
I am annoyed when people are not punctual on me or don’t keep their words and break their promises. I don’t care if they ‘forgot’. I have been thoughtful enough to remind. You make plans one week in advance, they forgot. One day ahead, they still forgot. And if you make plans on the last minute, you can forget about it. They wouldn’t make it. Not in a million years!
So why bother make plans at all?
That’s why now I’m kinda selective of people when making plans, preferring to go alone. Or unless I have nothing to lose. Dragging people along with you is so much easier.
But in a way, this helps me improve myself, see? I don’t like it when people do these things to me, so I remind myself to not do it on people. Keep a higher level of integrity and a good sense of time and people will look up to you. And if you can make them improve themselves, that’s even better.
I just think not being on time is a waste of time. So people, please be on time. It’s not just about your time. Its about the time the person you’re meeting too. Their time is valuable too. Not just yours.
Geez.
