The Epic of Me

Saturday, February 18th, 2006

Crappy crappy Friendster wouldn’t let me blog yesterday. It has encountered an ‘error’. Should just say it was crappy from the start anyway. It said ‘Our apologies’, but personally I think they should say ‘We’re crap. We don’t know why, but we just are’. Most satisfying.

Okay, back to me! Well that’s what this blog is about right? Me, myself and I! Mwahaha. Yesterday I kept my word to myself and went out. I went to the gym in the morning and come back at noon. Afterwards I was out by 1.30 and came back some time after six. I watched Big Momma’s House 2 finally. Funny movie hehe. Go watch it for a good laugh. *nods nods*. The movie is only showing at Star but I have stuff to do around the Triangle so I parked the car at Parkson and walked to Star. Watched the movie, and walked back. Walking is good for health. The great thing was, I met a long lost relative~! Well, not exactly ‘lost’ but well, out of touch, maybe, but its not like we were close to begin with. But its good to see her again. She didn’t recognize me when I first passed by her (she works at Parkson) but I sure recognized her. I mean, she was already an adult when I last saw her and adults change very slowly hehe whereas I was 13 when she last saw me. See? see? I do change. :P

Anyway I decided not to approach her but went on to answer the call of nature instead (pee). However, I went around TJ and SP afterwards to get some stuff and bought her something. Well, if you’re meeting a ‘long-lost’ relative, might as well bring a gift right? It was only a chocolate bar anyway. It was funny to see the look on her face as I slowly approach her. I was sure she must have thought I was just an odd customer at first, but the look of recognition slowly appeared on her face and…TA-DA! It is moi! Hahaha!

She was happy to see me. =D

I pondered about the gift I wanted to give her. Since I confirmed she was there, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to brighten her day with something, right? But I’m sure as heck am not going to give some nice looking dustholder or some weird trinket. It must be something useful and practical. I looked around the gift shops for ideas, although I was sure I wouldn’t be buying anything from there. I remember what it was like to celebrate my birthday and unwrapping the presents only to end up with a buttload of dustholders. The horror!

Anyway, I thought the chocolate would do because chocolate is a stimulant hehehe. It can eleviate the ‘feel good’ chemical in the brain when you eat it. It can heal wounds. Not literally of course. Therefore I thought it was fitting, since, considering what she’s been through. We’re not blood related, but cousins should look after each other, right?

Right.

Damn I like sounding so high and noble.

Right now I’m thinking of splurging a bit of money on some essential clothing. I recently discovered I have only two shirts that I can wear to the gym. GASP! Only two!? And I go to the gym five days a week! No time to lose. I can always wait to buy at KL in March but I need these now. Man I sound so desperate. Have to spend wisely here. Hmm.

Somehow I feel grateful to Dir en Grey. If not because of the song Yokan I would be an obsessed fangirl of Hyde’s. I like Hyde a lot and I still want to rape him. I mean, marry him.

I mean…

!!!

Ahem.

Yeah, fangirl. But I don’t wanna be a fangirl of a real life person :P especially an artist. Because these people are alive and living and out of my control. That’s why I prefer idolizing comic characters like those in anime and mangas and stuff like that. Like, one of my idols is Luffy from One Piece. You have to admire his determination. And Zoro. Because he’s so extremely cool. And both of them are insanely strong. Like, insanely. Zoro once cut a train in half. If you have read it through scanlations, you’d know. At least Zoro’s green hair is natural :D.

Dir en Grey balanced out the excessiveness that is L’Arc en Ciel.

I found out something interesting today. During my Mandarin class, Lao Shi told us to describe our favorite past times in Mandarin using whatever words we have learned. In a way, a rough essay. He also told us that if your hobby is planting flowers, you could say that during your spare time you talk to you flowers. And he went on to say that a study conducted by some scientist in some prestigious university found that flowers or plants that are often talked to usually stays healthy for longer. And the person talking to it would be happy and energized too. Its like they established a link that transmitted energy to each other. The same can be achieved by singing to it. Yes, I am talking about singing to a plant.

My uncle does this. He recites a lot of prayers to this little fruit tree in his backyard and the little tree just bear fruits out of season. And doing so when it was too young to!

The power of God.

Although I don’t know what kind of prayer to say to a plant, I can surely do that something else. Like, talking to flowers? (you must be thinking that I’m crazy) I have two rose stems in my room. They are blue *grins*. I put them in an evian bottle half filled with water and I place them there for the purpose of seeing how long these flowers can last without soil. So…guess what my new hobby will be eh? heh heh heh.

Let’s hope I don’t turn blue too afterwards. If I start singing to the flower, it might as well just wither away faster. I’m not much of a singer, really.

Heh heh.

I bought Tales of Legendia the English version yesterday =D. Don’t know when I can play it though. Hyde’s making it hard for me to turn off winamp. But right now its Yokan on repeat. That song just have so much energy. I also had just burned some of the songs into an audio CD so now I can get high on the road too. Meh heh heh heh!

I think I might go to the gym early again tomorrow so I can go out and…spend money.

Well, I’m off. Ghost Hunters repeat at midnight! Woo-hoo!

Ta’ra!

Today and Tomorrow! I await thee!

Anything notable that I did today…Hmmm, sewing. Yes, I was sewing. I sew my own pants. My favorite pants of course. All of my pants are my favorite pants by the way. I am careful when it comes to clothes. I make sure to sew them myself if there’s any rip and stuff. Don’t trust anyone else with the needle, except my mom but if I can do it myself, why let others do it. Then, when people ask I can proudly show off my work hehehe.

Obviously, judging from today’s work, my sewing skills haven’t improved that much. There is no hope for the shorts I sewed today. It is my oldest and most favorite short. There’s small rips at every corner. The best I could do was chose the most visible (or most annoying) ones and sew them. At least when I walk past the door it won’t get stuck to the handle or anything. Which is so damn annoying. Usually it would result in a bigger rip but most of the time, it jerks me back and I would hit the side of my head on the door frame. Not nice.

Okay, on to Dir en Grey. Luckily their vocalist is not hot like Hyde (or I might get obsessed again). Their most notable feature (for me that is) is the three guitarists. Behind all that makeup, Kyo is just isn’t very good looking, but his vocals are powerful, rivalling Hyde’s. Anyway, in the video ‘Yokan’ the one on my profile page, (also the one I found through Totchi-Tin’s hehehe) their three guitarists can’t go all bouncy like Tetsu and Ken of L’arc en ciel. Probably because of those platforms heh. But they are all tall (or so they seem) and look cool just standing where they are, doing their guitars justice. They look like extremely hot…sexy…swaying…trees…in platforms. *grins*

I feel like a bum lately. And more frighteningly, I just read that your IQ deteriorates the longer you stay away from school!!! w00t! I found that its true, but the article concludes that there is such a battle as book smart vs street smart but the one who wins is the one with the most common sense. Ultimately, the winner is the book smart with street smart. Funny huh? It means, that person must have a high IQ (book smart) but with sufficient street smart. So you must be a master of both.

Personally, I just found that tiring.

And my ear feels weird. Just my right ear though. Could it be from all those J-rocks!?

Naaah.

Anyway, I plan to wake up early tomorrow (As if!) and go to the gym early so I can get that out of the way. I wanna go to the movies =^_^=. Want to watch Big Momma’s House 2 and then I plan to go do some essential shopping. I know I’ll be going to KL soon, but these things I kinda need urgently. And its better I get them now heh. Yes, they are that important. *serious nod*

And God! *squeals* Hyde’s vocals are hot! I so want to marry him. I don’t care if he is only ten years short of my parents. And short (literally). He’s hot and that is all that matters. Why art thou so sexy Hyde!?

Now before I start sounding like Totchi-Tin, I’d better stop and leave you to ponder about your IQ. Although, truthfully, I learn a lot of academia at school, but life outside of school is where the action is. School can’t teach you everything.

Ta’ra!

p/s I think Dir en Grey is the type of music your mother would try to keep you away from. But you little rebel…all the more reason to indulge!

Meine Liebe

This anime is set around the 1937-ish in a small kingdom in Europe. Most probably non-existent in real life but who knows? There were a lot of small kingdoms scattered all over Europe that time but some might still have their independence. Anyway, this anime is one of those that I can’t take screenshots from winamp so I used DivX for these screenies. Also, most of the names are German. Like, Orpherus’s full name is Orpherus Furst von Marmelade Nahe Gorz. And a lot of excruciatingly long names like that. And they all have ‘von’ indicating a conjunction to surnames.

First, there’s Orpherus, or Orphe for short, he’s the main character of the anime. Orphe2He’s totally eye-candy and personally I think he’s the most handsome of the five. That’s just me though. But personality-wise, you could say he’s a little bit gullible. You can read him like an open book. He’s kind, righteous, caring and a constant worrier. Haunted by the tragic death of his beloved sister, he sought to create an ideal country where people can live without fear. Your total angel. Despite all that, Orphe is an excellent swordsman, rivalling Lui’s. But throughout the anime, his character grows. He appear fragile and weak in mind because of his belief in the good in everyone (except Lui maybe) but I think, at the end of the anime, he has grown a bit. Thanks to the influence of the people around him. Especially Lui.

Next is Ludwig. Or Lui. I like Lui.Ludwig Except for his extremely small eyes, he’s next to Orphe in terms of looks. Now Lui I must say is my favorite character out of all. He’s cold and passive and all that, but he’s actually very kind although he doesn’t always express it. Except when it comes to Camus. He’s the total opposite of Orphe. Like, total opposites. That’s why he and Orphe always argue and due to his abrupt style (he says everything form the heart, no censorship, even if it would hurt other people’s feelings) he is sometimes misunderstood but this is fine by him. His style is a little dictatorial from the outside point of view and he never convey to others his thoughts. He’s crafty and smart and like Orphe, would do anything to achieve his dreams. He’s willing to stake his pride and reputation for his beliefs and his companions. Its hard to know what Lui is constantly thinking or planning except when he voices them and they sound offending or when Camus is around to determine his emotions. Personally, I think he looks a lot like Rociel of Angel Sanctuary.Rociel

Well this is the best pic I have of him right now. Too lazy to run through the DVD again. DVD subbing sucks. Furthermore, another trait that Rociel and Ludwig share is that they both inspire others to follow their lead. Rociel always appear with Katan by his side while Lui is often seen with Naoji.

Anyway, back to Meine Liebe. Next character is Camus. Camus2Camus looks like he’s years younger than the rest but I’ll just attribute it to him being short. Although I won’t doubt there’s age differences between him and the others. But since he’s in the same prestigious Strahl Candidate class as the others, let’s just say he’s short and umm small in built. He has a strong sixth sense and hangs out at the greenhouse a lot where he spends his free time tending and talking to the flowers. Yes, he actually talk to the flowers, referring to them as ‘these children’. As you can see from his features, he’s very gentle and is the one who can sense Lui’s heart. Lui can say all sorts of cold and in-your-face facts but Camus knows that deep down Lui is actually concerned about that person. There’s no hiding the characters emotions when around Camus. He can also sense danger and all that. Lui has a soft spot for Camus since they are relatives and Lui is also the first person to believe Camus can talk to flowers when they met as children.

Alright, moving on. There’s Eduard. Or Ed. EdIn terms of background, Ed is a bit of a blacksheep. His father is a nobleman bearing the title ‘Viscount’ and is famous for his scandals. Ed and his sister are the results of one of his scandals but not long after they moved into his father’s manor, his sister was sent away for adoption to sooth his stepmother’s heart, but she despises him anyway. He and Orphe are best friends since small so they are always there for each other.Ed is probably the comic relief in the story, if at all. He always appear very happy-go-lucky and without concern. Although he often lose to Orphe in a sword fight, Ed can play the piano and is a better rider than Orphe. The similarities he share with Orphe is how their background is connected to losing a sister. Orphe lost his sister to an accident, while Ed lost his sister to an adoption. He still wishes to be reunited with his sister someday.

And last, but not least, is Naoji. Naoji He is uhh…half Japanese? I’m not sure, but I know his mother is Japanese. His father is probably a noble in Kuchen. Because in order to enter the Academy, the student’s father must be a nobleman or member of nobility. Naoji is pretty popular with the female students mainly because of his origin. He can sometimes be found practicing kendo or archery wearing one of those kimono things. One might say he acts like Lui’s right-hand man but other than serving him tea and appear walking beside him, there’s nothing else. Lui doesn’t order him. Seems like he does things for Lui out of liberty. When he first entered the academy, Lui was the first person to actually approach and talk to him. And I guess Naoji was ‘besotted’ by him from then on. Lui and Orphe have that kind of charisma to inspire. At first, Naoji can’t look at Orphe in the eyes because Orphe’s gaze was so intense and full of determination made him feel small because he is not so confident like Orphe. But gradually he became more open to Orphe and Ed. Kind, gentle and always polite, Naoji is a true Japanese at heart.

There’s no worthy female characters to speak of here. Because there’s just none. Except for a random female student who kept appearing to admire one of the guys. She doesn’t even have a proper dialogue other than the occasional dreamy sigh. There’s also one supporting character in the anime, Isaac. He appears out of nowhere to help and assist the students when they are in a pitch. I didn’t take a screen of him though, but his voice actor is the same person who does Hotohori in Fushigi Yuugi.

In conclusion, the anime has a good ending. Not open ended. It wraps up everything pretty nicely with the villains all captured except one. But I don’t think he can do much harm now that the top guy is gone. Who knows. I havent watched the first episode of Meine Liebe 2 although I have it. Maybe later on heh. Although Orphe’s self-righteousness can be a little intolerable at times, I’m glad he’s grown a bit at the end of the story. I mean, he can’t be not thinking that there are people after his life won’t he?! He’s a noble after all! He seems to believe everyone is innocent and its noth their fault things are as they are. That’s why he aspires to be a politician who can bring security and ever-lasting peace to the kingdom. I’m not kidding. That’s what he aspires to be. And I think that image suits him. His overall outlook. Blonde hair, blue eyes, blue outfit. Doens’t that just scream "I’M AN ANGEL!"? And Lui. Dark hair, dark eyes, dark outfit. That just screams "I’m dark and mysterious."

Anyway, I have some delivery to make. So like, later!

*off delivering*

Okay I’m back! I wanted to write in a new post but I still havent posted this one and there was still things I wanted to add since I was in a hurry to go. I was just back from delivering stuff just now. Went to three houses. One house I’d be too stupid if I missed a turning or get lost getting there which I didn’t and went on swiftly. The second house, well, took the long way round to get there. The third house - save the best for last - was the furthest and hardest(?) to find. I’ve never been there and my route was a series of wrong turns, turning back, re-routing and frantic SMSes. Hehehehe. But finally I got there. And it was a nice place too. I used the opportunity to get familiar with the area. I also made some wrong turns on the way back but these are intentional hehehe. I found the dogs in those areas are very curious of Marimo. Its as if they know that I’ve lost my way hahaha.

But anyway, what I wanted to show is this. Fight_1These guys have some skill, fighting in platforms. They could breakdance in one if they are capable of doing this. Lui_n_naoji And a scene with Naoji by Lui’s side is pretty common. This is the time when they were all standing up for Camus when someone came and tried to forcefully take him away to make use of his powers.

Anyway, overall a good anime. And now I’m finally done.

Ta’ra!

I be speshal

Monday, February 13th, 2006

I finally watched Meine Leibe anime last night. And thanks to that I couldn’t sleep. Well I did sleep, but took me a while. The anime is very dark. Literally. I had to adjust the brightness of my screen for it since I dimmed it a little. Anyway, the story is not bad. Its actually my kind of story. All the main characters are pretty boys (hehehe) and designed by none other than Kaori Yuki! She’s the author of Angel Sanctuary and Count Cain. Her comics normally involves themes like fantasy, gore and incest. But one apparent theme that never strays from her characters are loyalty. Mostly male to male kind of friendship loyalty.

See this. In Angel Sanctuary, its Katan to Rociel, in Count Cain its Riff to Cain and in Meine Leibe, its between Eduard and Orpherus who are childhood friends. Whenever one of them is down, the other would always assure him that ‘I will always be by your side so you are not lonely anymore’ and of course, like a flower, these characters always come from a tragic background and blooms into a magnificent person who is admired by others. Also, other loyalty related characters in Meine Leibe are between Naoji (Ishida Akira’s voice. In other words, Cho Hakkai in Saiyuki) and Camus (voice acting the same as Kei Kusanagi in Onegai Sensei) to Ludwig (this guy has the voice of Genjo Sanzo).

Another similar theme that’s visible in Kaori Yuki’s work is how Orpherus and Ludwig while with clashing personalities, always inspire others to follow their lead. Ludwig does this beautifully, having gained a lot of followers in the Academy they study in and of course, to inspire and gained the loyalty of Naoji and Camus also with clashing personalities to Ludwig. These five characters get along well in the story except for Orpherus and Ludwig who always argue, but deep down are actually concerned about each other. Orpherus is kind and idealistic, Ludwig is serious, cold and passive but deep down cares for his friends very much.

The beauty of friendship~ and what’s more, the relationship between these pretty boys progresses without the interference of any female characters (except the occasional admirers who are there just to emphasize the five guys’ popularity). Its hard to find a story that shows good relationship between guys that doesn’t lead to love/romance. Only Kaori Yuki can pull off something like this! Even though romance and incest themes are commonplace in all her previous works, gay love is never it. I think she loves her male characters as much as I do hehehe. Go Kaori Yuki!

I havent’ watched all of the episodes by the way. But I’ll get to them again tomorrow. The first part has 13 eps which I have, and the second part also has 13 eps and only one has been released so far. I have that too hehehehe.

And another thing, the guys in this anime all appeared to be wearing platform shoes. …another of Kaori Yuki’s signature work. In Angel Sanctuary for instance, Rociel is often seen wearing thick platform shoes. I wonder how they move in those. I mean, Ludwig and Orpherus were sword fighting once and they were in platforms. Weird.

ScreenyLooky my new wallpaper hehehe. I couldn’t resist really. HYDE is so cute! >.< If you look carefully at my icons there you’ll find four little icons made of pictures of characters in Angel Sanctuary. I have a buttload of those icons but can only use four at a time since only those icons are changeable.

Hmmm. Now that I look at that pic again, I did some changes on my icons to make them look neater. I basically got rid of all the icons on the fourth row. Put them into folders. But that’s weird…my mIRC icon suddenly disappeared. Hmmm.

Well, not that I’m that bothered. And the blinking light of my phone is bothering me. I flipped it over the side. Now that settles it. Anyway I wanna share this pic with you guys. He’s one of the cute guys I like hehehe. Jeff_davis I sometimes watch Whose Line Is It Anyway just to catch an episode with him in it! He’s not the regular cast, but he’s one of the rarer regular guests they have on the show. And he’s single too! :D

I remembered when in one of the shows where the four guys were being referred as gays but all of them raised their ring finger, showing their wedding ring and Jeff raised his and grinned sheepishly because he doesn’t have one! Hahaha. That was cute when he grinned like that!

I scoured the internet looking for this pic! WHo would have thought there were so many people named Jeff Davis!?

I really have no specific criteria as to what type of guys I like. I just grab them as they come! Hahaha! Sometimes they don’t have to be drop dead gorgeous (ala Brad Pitt) but sexyness in the words of someone who’s obsessed with Kaokao said, is a vibe. And when I picked up that vibe, that guy is immediately in my list! There, easy isn’t it?! Why restrict yourself? Go~ go and be free!

So Jeff Davis and HYDE are hot (and sexay!) and so is Jared Leto in Alexander when he plays Alexander’s best friend. I don’t know in other movies though.

Anyway today I helped my friend did a project of hers. She asked for it for the start of March but I was bored and managed to finish it today hehehe. It was fun doing what she’s doing. I know it is a very fun course and if I had to take it, I will. And I will definitely enjoy it because it is a subject I excel at. But my heart lies with business and that is the path I choose. I just hope she has fun heh. She’d better give me proper credit! Although…she might not state it officially, well, not that I care. It’s fun just doing it and I was bored and I was needed. I like to feel needed. It makes me feel speshal. Then again, knowing I am needed is not neccessary to make me feel speshal because I always feel speshal because I know I’m speshal. In a good way, that is.

Now, thinking back what I have achieved in my personal life…I amaze me. Just goes to show, ‘I’m so great I jealous of myself!’. How’s that for an ego booster eh? Of course, its always important to love yourself and give yourself proper credit. I do that all the time anyway. There’s balance.

Anyway, enough yapping. I wanna go watch Dive To Blue again. Even though I already have the song now, I still can’t resist watching the video clip.Yes, its that good. If you wanna watch it, follow the link in my previous post. This post has gotten too long already hehehe.

So, ta’ra!

Diving into the blue ark in the sky

Saturday, February 11th, 2006

I dont normally update my blog in the middle of the day because thanks to Friendster’s American time, it will be dated as the day before.

Anyway I found L’arc En Ciel to be addictive. I’ve been replaying the video Dive to Blue for three days now. And there’s no playback options so I just kept clicking replay over and over again. If your connection is good, give this video a chance. You might like it. I actually found it in someone’s profile and followed the link back to its original website hehe. It may take some time to load but if your connection’s at optimum speed, it might play without interruption as it loads. Or if not then wait for it to load for a while and then play it.

I find their vocalist cute hehehe although I know someone who prefers Tetsu, the bouncing guitarist in shorts in the back. ‘Tet-chan’ is their official leader but none the taller. He’s 167, more or less my height. And the vocalist, Hyde is 157. Way shorter than me. That’s Japanese guys for you. But Hyde has big round eyes, not the stereotype small Japanese eyes hehehe. He looks delicious in that video *snickers*. I heard that its one of their older ones and there are new ones but what the heck, I’ve only heard this one. I was looking to download this song when I stumbled on a torrent that contains ALL of their albums and singles. Its about 1.84 gig and right now is still ‘connecting to peer’ if there is one that is. I will look for separate torrents later on. That was just my first search though. Might find something better. Until then, this stays on.

I never thought I’d like guys in make up but most JRock bands use them elaborately. And the girls go hysterical over them. I admit though, they look extremely sexy but sometimes they might look too much like a girl. Unless you can wear makeup as good as he can,Hyde I’d advise against it. I think this band pic is also one of their newer ones. The latest news I can find of these people are between 2000-2004. Not as active as they used to be, but their presence left an impact in the JRock scene for sure. Ciel

Also, I think this band pic was cleverly taken. Place Hyde in the front so its not obvious how short he really is and since Hyde is the ‘lead’ vocal, its acceptable heh. The furthest left, Ken, the second guitarist standing beside Tetsu is the tallest. He’s leaning slightly to cover the gap between his height and Tetsu’s. He’s not that tall anyway so there’s not much space to cover.

Clever, clever.

And the video was great too. Instead of having the band members ‘act’ like most video clips make band members do, they mostly appear either just sitting down doing nothing or brushing his teethHydeteeth  (Like Hyde, and looks absolutely adorable doing so!) but most of the time, they appear playing their instruments. Which is best. Since that is what they are good at.

Oooh in the 3rd quarter of the video, Hyde’s squinting and frowning when he started singing the verses ‘ima mo ima mo oboette iru~’ is just too cute! Its one of his best close ups in the clip!Hyde_squint he doesnt look as good in this pic due to the ffects they used in the video. Its very spontaneous and I barely made it when pausing the video for this screeny.

I sound like a fangirl

…But I’ll kill you if you say he’s not cute when he’s frowning like that!

Right.

Everyone’s a fangirl at some point hehehe.

Anyway I’ll be off!

p/s See? its February the 12th. But its still dated as 11 down there!

Mind-body-soul~ and a butt

Friday, February 10th, 2006

Hehehe…

hehehehehe…

MEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEHE!!!

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!

I feel like that person who just conquered the world with a stupid grin on my face hehehehehehehe.

If I had traded real money I could have easily made 3985 dollars just now. I was like pumping my hands in the air when I saw AAPL went down! At least, lower than the previous red bar you see there. Either way, I sold my options at my desired price as the price for those options rose! Wheee. I’m sure considering the price level of it now, mine is a bargain and was snapped up pretty quickly. But that’s that for now. I’m not taking anymore risks with APPL. time to take on new trades. But its funny how I only made money at stocks whose business I’m familiar with. I read in Buffetology that its best to bet your money on stocks which business you know. Like ice cream (Haagen Daaz) or like in my case, Apple Computers. I also made money with Microsoft even though even Mr. Foong was not going to do anything with it hehehehe. I’ll just stick to this strategy for now. By the way, I bought AAPL for 1.7 (which for me is quite expensive already. I usually go for below one dollar.) and sold it for 4 dollars. So its 4.0×10x100-15(broker commission) = 3985. I like my math. =D

That’s one accomplishment. Another is that I finally was able to run (on the treadmill) for 27 minutes straight! That’s the closest I can get to my goal of 30 minutes. I think I could have run longer if not because the timer was running out of…time. I set it for 30 minutes and took the first 3 minutes as warm up. Also, I noticed how much more energy I have when working out in the evening compared to in the morning.Of course, running in the morning is best but I find I do better in the evening approximately 2 hours after lunch. This is because you run with an empty stomach in the morning, which is ok because you have more carbs then (from the night before) and carbs translate into energy faster. But if you run two hours after lunch, you get energy from the food you ate. Because after two hours, the food passes from your stomach and they already turn into energy. Which is good. I heard that the reason you get stomach cramps if you exercise before your body digests the food is because other parts of the body needed the blood that’s being used to process the food in the stomach. I guess you can say there’s inadequate blood distributed along the body because while your tummy’s working hard to process your lunch, you want your whole body to work hard to burn fat too. That just won’t work. Not enough blood is expended everywhere resulting in stomach cramps.

I’ve learn enough to know that I don’t want to exercise at least 2 hours and a half after a heavy meal. Stomach cramps = nasty.

Okay now that’s one issue down. I’m also glad that I think I finally found a university that’s suitable for me. Its a university that’s focused on enterpreneurship and management. I got a reply for my enquiry and they said once I’m done with my foundation program I am accepted into the degree program immediately. Yay!

I can’t yet tell which university’s I’m talking about but if I’m really going there I’ll let you know :P hehehe. Anyway, they are moving to a new campus December this year and its at Mines Wonderland w00t. The guy who replied my enquiry said its going to be behind Mines Shopping Center. Double w00t. Its going to be sweet hehehe. I got my dad to look at their website and he approved. And besides, the fee is also only slightly higher than Swinburne’s but definitely almost half of what Monash’s is. And also, the scholarship seemed just too easy to get! If my CGPA is 3.2 or higher, the scholarship I apply to will be more than enough to cover the fee for the whole year 1! I don’t think its that hard even though I have six subjects next semester (which starts in March!! yay!) Oh did I mention my semester 1’s CGPA was 3.5? Hehehehehe. I’m in a show-offy mood but even though my result was satisfactory, I still need to keep up for next semester. Cia yow!

Oooh yeah. I just like reading. When I started reading something like a story book, and reading just for the heck of it, I feel this calmness that wells up inside. Its a weird feeling but I’m not complaining. I think I will return to borrow that book form the uni’s library heh. It was written by a Japanese author but the story is set in England with Caucasian characters. Funny. So far its a good story.

Right, I’m also so happy today because we are finally done with the excruciatingly boring summer semester! Yay! Our last paper was today. It was Islamic Studies and they were so…expected! As I was doing the paper I can just imagine our teacher grinning behind our backs (not that he’s literally there) and I just smirked and thought…’that sneaky, sneaky fox…’. A lot of the answers we ‘copy pasted’ from the objective section. The only problem with the copy pasting was those examiners who roam around the hall looking at you with those hawk eyes. But we ignored those and continued copy pasting.

The leader of the examiners was a fat woman wearing long jeans skirt. She made the mistake of standing beside my desk and I nearly poked my finger at her behind which was conviniently at my eye level (as I was leaning down at the table that is). Fortunately, I managed to retrieve my finger before it made contact. *grins sheepishly*

Err anyway, I don’t think I should have said that heh heh…

Ahem

Okay, I know I said I wanted to watch all the animes (at least I told myself to) and play the games for this semester break and will! I will watch all those animes I accumulated and the games too. But there’s other things to do too. Like go to the movies and hang out and got papers together for recycling. Now that summer semester is done, I have a lot of junk to throw out. Mostly papers. But I’ll be a civilised citizen and recycle. Last time, I accumulated all the papers into big plastic bags only to have them scattered all over the recycling store rooms they have at the side of the road. But this time it’s going to be different. I will definitely arrange them neatly together. And I’ll prolly also get others to recycle too. I just wonder why I go to such a faraway place to recycle these things. I think I’ll go check out the place first before I throw some more stuff there. Make sure that the DBKU people are actually doing their jobs and collect all the recycling stuff. *nods nods* Yes I’ll do that. If not then I’ll go to other places to recycle.

Haaa~ now that’s what you call mind-body-soul. Talking about soul, I have to pray!! Its late already.

Anyway, ta’ra!

IGN browsing report!

Wednesday, February 8th, 2006

I just browsed through IGN and found some games I want! No wait, more games I want! Like, Final Fantasy XII! And …Kingdom Hearts II maybe? I still havent finished the first one. Anyway, I found out that FFXII is going to be on the PS2 and that’s just too cool! I mean, I was devastated when someone told me its going to be another MMORPG! GASP! NO! (I’ll be joining in the activity known as skinning you alive Gary!) How could you…I NEARLY GOT A HEART ATTACK!

Thankfully, its on PS2 and they are even going to release a FFXII special edition PS2! But its only for Japan…but anyway…not like Im going to spend more money buying a new PS2. Kujong is still reliable. Although a bit slow compared to the newer PS2 versions. Good old Kujong!

I also found in the site the release date for the Suikoden V in the US is late March so we’ll be seeing that game around April. I dont care how they obtained the game. As long as I can play it! My list of games I want this year so far:

-Valkyrie Profile Silmeria

-Final Fantasy XII

-Suikoden V

Since most of these games are released around March to June, I’m in no hurry because I have free time after July hehehehehehehehe.

Also…while I was there…I saw an ad about Tales of Legendia saying its release is 7 February 2006. The reason I’m so surprised is because… I ALREADY HAVE THAT GAME WHAT THE HELL?!?! So I popped in the disc and sure enough…it was in Japanese. But the voices were great. I don’t expect the English version to have such a good voice and most of the time, they suck. But the few minutes I spent on it just now showed familiar voices you can find in animes. Prolly the same seiyuu.

Its easy to understand I guess since they only say a few lines at a time at the beginning of the game. If I had some spare time I’ll play it later. So let’s add another game to look forward to in 2006:

-Tales of Legendia (US version)

There. I also contemplate getting Drakengard 2. But like the Suikoden Series, you have to play the first one to actually really appreciate it. From the looks of it, the characters in Drakengard 2 looks better (obviously) well…we’ll look and see what happens. Because I will play the first Drakengard if I want to move on to this new one. Let’s hope I can find it first.

So there’s…*counts* four games. That’ll take up 20 ringgit.

Well, for me that’s quite cheap…considering  well…they play well. And as good as the original.

I’m not complaining.

Dum dee dum.

I might add to this list later on.

For now, ta’ra!

The wonders of Hyperlinking

Tuesday, February 7th, 2006

I just found out something interesting today. It just so happens that our new semester starts end of March, specifically, 27th March, which leaves me with around 6 weeks of holiday. And I always thought our semester starts mid-february! Seriously, I never expected to have a holiday of more than a week when I first joined Swinburne’s foundation. Since everything is so fast paced and stuff.

Anyway, that means I have uninterrupted time to train for the marathon! Yeah! I finally joined a marathon! Even though I registered for the half marathon which is 21 km. I’m looking to drag as many people with me as possible. (above 18 preferrable) I managed to get my sister and registered her first before myself hehehehe. In addition I can stay in KL longer after my cousin’s wedding. Longer as in, by one day hehehe. But at least I dont have to rush, right? Yeah, that’s right.

Sooooo. A 6 weeks honeymoon. What to do what to do. I play to train everyday (preferrable morning) and spend the rest of the day playing games. That’s it. I’ll do that. Magna Carta and Phantom Brave. Yesss!!! I’m feeling all pumped up already! Well, not literally, but I will be. At the gym.

I already ordered the blue roses I needed for post-V day. On Valentine’s day and a couple of days before it, they are twice the price of what I get for the15th. Actually I was hoping to get the normal price for them which is around 3.5 - 5 but apparently 15th is still V-day price although you get half the price cut. So I guess its better than nothing. Sighs.

And since knowing that the semester starts in March, I wonder how am I going to hand out my roses? O_O a problem, a problem…at least I can walk to one person’s house. But the others…I’ll burn all the calories I need to live trying to walk there!

I also recently learned the virtue of timing in selling and buying options. Its very technical so let’s not get into that.

Hmmm I just discovered you can hyperlink texts here. I normally wouldn’t, preferring to just copy paste the link. But its very fun to do so heck. The underlined words are all hyperlinked now so check them out or whatever if you want hehehe.

Anyway, I’m out! Ta’ra!

p/s you might notice that I’m now using dedicated default text color for this blog. I just found it better uniformed this way. Too lazy to think up of what colors to use each time.

Recycling should be a lifestyle

Francis won. And I’m glad. Why? Because I voted for him. Twice! Yes! Twice! I think his cause is good for the planet and will definitely benefit society.

Two thumbs up for Francis!

and that’s all.

Yee O’ Lost Soul!

Saturday, February 4th, 2006

Yee O’ Lost Soul - Listen! And yee shall be guided down the path of righteousness! Yep. That’s what happens when you don’t listen. You get lost. Like what happened to me today. I was like "oh, you mean around that area? Yeah, yeah, I know where that place is!" and then, when I get there, the restaurant was nowhere in sight! So I had to call home again to ask for directions. This time I shut up and listen carefully. And I got there finally. There is a lesson to be learnt here. Hmmm.

Okay so I went to that lunch gathering thing today. It was good though. Better than I expected. Although the type of food served wasn’t very ‘Thai’ considering it was a Thai seafood restaurant. And the order of food served was stupidity. I mean, okay, first the appetizer: sushi. It was a Thai restaurant then why the hell are they serving sushi!? But okay its understandable since we are an alumni of people who went to Japan. Acceptable. Next! Corn chicken wrapped in pandan leaves. I know you are familiar with this. After we finished our chicken, and then do they serve the rice. What the hell!? At least it was sweet Thai rice so its okay if you eat them on their own. But still…you know what I mean, right? Anyway, after the rice was done with, then came the mixed vege. Another un-Thai food. After that was fried fish fingers eaten with tar tar sauce and then was ginger beef (Chinese dish) and lastly for dessert an assortment of…yam cakes with white gravy thing.

Not a very Thai-ish variety, but the chicken wrap was good. You can’t go to a Thai restaurant without having chicken wraps!

So Valentine’s coming soon. I’m not really celebrating it, but its the only time of the year when you can get blue roses just about anywhere! And I’m a sucker for blue roses! But they are so overpriced at the side of the roads so it beats buying bare flowers on your own in huge quantities. Not a lot though. I’m thinking of only a dozen. Then give them out individually. Not a bad idea if I say so myself.

Oh man. As I was typing this blog I watched this 50s style movie on TV2 The Cat Burglar I think and man, the girl was so straight when she said "I’m in love with you!" Not in a romantic kind of way, but almost in an argumentative kind of way. Strange huh? I wonder if people were really like that back then or the scriptwriter was in a sudden high.

Anyway its time to rub some ointment on my neck. Its been feeling stiff. So, ta’ra!
