The Epic of Me
Saturday, February 18th, 2006Crappy crappy Friendster wouldn’t let me blog yesterday. It has encountered an ‘error’. Should just say it was crappy from the start anyway. It said ‘Our apologies’, but personally I think they should say ‘We’re crap. We don’t know why, but we just are’. Most satisfying.
Okay, back to me! Well that’s what this blog is about right? Me, myself and I! Mwahaha. Yesterday I kept my word to myself and went out. I went to the gym in the morning and come back at noon. Afterwards I was out by 1.30 and came back some time after six. I watched Big Momma’s House 2 finally. Funny movie hehe. Go watch it for a good laugh. *nods nods*. The movie is only showing at Star but I have stuff to do around the Triangle so I parked the car at Parkson and walked to Star. Watched the movie, and walked back. Walking is good for health. The great thing was, I met a long lost relative~! Well, not exactly ‘lost’ but well, out of touch, maybe, but its not like we were close to begin with. But its good to see her again. She didn’t recognize me when I first passed by her (she works at Parkson) but I sure recognized her. I mean, she was already an adult when I last saw her and adults change very slowly hehe whereas I was 13 when she last saw me. See? see? I do change.
Anyway I decided not to approach her but went on to answer the call of nature instead (pee). However, I went around TJ and SP afterwards to get some stuff and bought her something. Well, if you’re meeting a ‘long-lost’ relative, might as well bring a gift right? It was only a chocolate bar anyway. It was funny to see the look on her face as I slowly approach her. I was sure she must have thought I was just an odd customer at first, but the look of recognition slowly appeared on her face and…TA-DA! It is moi! Hahaha!
She was happy to see me. =D
I pondered about the gift I wanted to give her. Since I confirmed she was there, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to brighten her day with something, right? But I’m sure as heck am not going to give some nice looking dustholder or some weird trinket. It must be something useful and practical. I looked around the gift shops for ideas, although I was sure I wouldn’t be buying anything from there. I remember what it was like to celebrate my birthday and unwrapping the presents only to end up with a buttload of dustholders. The horror!
Anyway, I thought the chocolate would do because chocolate is a stimulant hehehe. It can eleviate the ‘feel good’ chemical in the brain when you eat it. It can heal wounds. Not literally of course. Therefore I thought it was fitting, since, considering what she’s been through. We’re not blood related, but cousins should look after each other, right?
Right.
Damn I like sounding so high and noble.
Right now I’m thinking of splurging a bit of money on some essential clothing. I recently discovered I have only two shirts that I can wear to the gym. GASP! Only two!? And I go to the gym five days a week! No time to lose. I can always wait to buy at KL in March but I need these now. Man I sound so desperate. Have to spend wisely here. Hmm.
Somehow I feel grateful to Dir en Grey. If not because of the song Yokan I would be an obsessed fangirl of Hyde’s. I like Hyde a lot and I still want to rape him. I mean, marry him.
I mean…
!!!
Ahem.
Yeah, fangirl. But I don’t wanna be a fangirl of a real life person
especially an artist. Because these people are alive and living and out of my control. That’s why I prefer idolizing comic characters like those in anime and mangas and stuff like that. Like, one of my idols is Luffy from One Piece. You have to admire his determination. And Zoro. Because he’s so extremely cool. And both of them are insanely strong. Like, insanely. Zoro once cut a train in half. If you have read it through scanlations, you’d know. At least Zoro’s green hair is natural :D.
Dir en Grey balanced out the excessiveness that is L’Arc en Ciel.
I found out something interesting today. During my Mandarin class, Lao Shi told us to describe our favorite past times in Mandarin using whatever words we have learned. In a way, a rough essay. He also told us that if your hobby is planting flowers, you could say that during your spare time you talk to you flowers. And he went on to say that a study conducted by some scientist in some prestigious university found that flowers or plants that are often talked to usually stays healthy for longer. And the person talking to it would be happy and energized too. Its like they established a link that transmitted energy to each other. The same can be achieved by singing to it. Yes, I am talking about singing to a plant.
My uncle does this. He recites a lot of prayers to this little fruit tree in his backyard and the little tree just bear fruits out of season. And doing so when it was too young to!
The power of God.
Although I don’t know what kind of prayer to say to a plant, I can surely do that something else. Like, talking to flowers? (you must be thinking that I’m crazy) I have two rose stems in my room. They are blue *grins*. I put them in an evian bottle half filled with water and I place them there for the purpose of seeing how long these flowers can last without soil. So…guess what my new hobby will be eh? heh heh heh.
Let’s hope I don’t turn blue too afterwards. If I start singing to the flower, it might as well just wither away faster. I’m not much of a singer, really.
Heh heh.
I bought Tales of Legendia the English version yesterday =D. Don’t know when I can play it though. Hyde’s making it hard for me to turn off winamp. But right now its Yokan on repeat. That song just have so much energy. I also had just burned some of the songs into an audio CD so now I can get high on the road too. Meh heh heh heh!
I think I might go to the gym early again tomorrow so I can go out and…spend money.
Well, I’m off. Ghost Hunters repeat at midnight! Woo-hoo!
Ta’ra!
