What was I going to say again? Oh yeah, Friendster is crap. I wrote a whole post and it just disappeared! But fortunately it was a relatively short post. I’ll give a run down:

Stuffing my lines with downloads again now. Havent done that in a while. Strangely, I’m downloading animes that I already watched, but the subtitles were crappy so I decided to download them anyway. The releases have been slow but its catching up. Hardworking fansubbers.

Went to the summer semester registration today. Went late. Didnt intend on coming late, just that well, too lazy to get up. But if you come late, you only get tutes that nobody else wants. Those odd times that everyone wants to avoid like at night or Saturdays. But fortunately, the subjects on Saturday are classes I dont have to attend. (Like Moral Studies). But still, all my classes either start at 8:30 am or after 5:30 pm. But I dont really mind. I have no class on Wednesday and theres only two days when I have to get up early for class. I dont care if its way late in the day as long as I can sleep in. I hate waking up early. But check this out - I have an hour of class on Monday morning, and that’s all! Aaaaargghh!!!

Well, hopefully it flows well with my plans. Yes, I have plans. BIG plans.

Hehehehehe

Raya is Coming~

Sunday, October 30th, 2005

Whew. I’m finally done laboring over the oven. Two days and I made three batches of those cheese things. Today I made good time. Started early and finished early. Didn’t have to clash with the meal rush getting prepared for the breaking of fast like yesterday. Yup, I am content.

Exam was over on Friday and celebrated with friends that night. Well, sort of. And man, met so many familiar faces at the shopping complexes. I was so happy I even borrowed this book from the uni library. I was actually looking for a different book, but I stumbled onto this one (and the one I was looking for wasnt there). Just thought I’d go for a light read between math and econs paper but ended up reading the book most of the time. So I just borrowed. Finished it just now heh.

The book was about the life of a woman in the Tang Dynasty. She was an adored concubine, courtesan and great poetess. I dont know what to make of the story, I mean, she was beheaded in the end for notorierity by the government. She had a short life, but pretty…um, eventful. The synopsis at the back sounded like she grew from a naive, submissive child and later a concubine and she gave up all those and searched for freedom and finally gained them, independent at last. But even thought her path to freedom wasn’t very smooth, she found them, but however she was still not emotionally independent. Its not exactly "Get mad, get even, get rich" Throughout the story, since she was made concubine, even after she separated and divorced herself from her husband, she still loved him. Even though she won’t admit it after they bantered back and forth. But it was evident. Even at the last night of her life, when he visited her in her cell, the affection was still there. They still cared for each other. The story kept going back to the past and ‘present’ where her husband was old dying and the past when she was still alive. He still holds memories of her and kept dreaming about her. Despite the stupidity and the absurdity of the people at those times, the old and dying husband still dreamt of good days spent with her.

And also, may I add the narrator dwelled too much into the personal lives of the woman. There were areas that I thought were inappopriate.

…I felt like a pervert into someone else’s personal life.

Overall, the book is not too shabby. It gives us an insight into what life was like back then for the women. The author noted that the Tang Dynasty was when women had the most freedom before the twentieth century. Freedom as in the form of being allowed to become nuns and courtesans. Glad I didnt live in that period.

Oh and by the way, the characters are all real. The core of the story is true, the author just added fiction in the form of feelings, narrations and dialogues. A good read.

…Cant wait to send it back. I wanna go and buy Inheritence Trilogy: Eldest. Been itching for that book hehehe. After reading that book, I feel like going back to one of my fics about priestess getting sucked in books and into a another world. Just had some inspiration after reading that story, but not sure if it is strong enough to write a whole story.

Tomorrow, registration day!

Ta’ra!

And happy becoming hari raya!

Supervisors, Swords, Studies

Wednesday, October 26th, 2005

Those supervisors are so annoying! Why can’t they stop hovering over me?! I know its my luck I got the seat waaay at the back. Coincidentally the favorite hang out place for these supervisors. And they are not done hovering over me too! They want to gossip too! Uuuurgh!!! GOSSIP SOMEPLACE ELSE DAMN YOU THIS IS AN EXAM HALL!

Its not until after the test did I know that those people were not Swinburne lecturers. They were lecturers and staffs of other universities. No wonder they don’t look familiar! And lacking of manners too.

Do that again to me, you strangers and I’ll show you how assertive I can be.

Anyway, raya is coming up so everyone’s rushing to use the oven. The oven? Yeah, for baking. We have to ‘book’ it to bake our respective ’stuff’. They are not always edible, but its a good try. My turn is this weekend by the way.

Recently I found out I have a sword fetish. Consider this: I get excited when watching Zorro, Queen of Swords and Young Blades. But its not the handsome hero I like - its the women! I admit I really like swashbuckling action plus humor. Like in The Mask of Zorro, there’s Catherine Zeta-Johns and she’s playing swords and she’s purty +_+. And yes, I’m  definitely looking forward to Zorro 2.

In Queen of Swords, well, as the title suggests, its a sword wielding woman. And damn is she on fire! She’s just my type. I like latin beauties. Certainly looks better than caucasians (too pale). They have the right tan and their own natural black hair sometimes have a slight brow tinge. Ugh, I’m in love…

But anyway, Tessa, the Queen of Swords dressed up as the bandita because she seeks revenge on her father’s death. And she’s no push over too with the sword. You just gotta love her.

And what about Young Blades? The lead character is a male, D’artanagn Jr. or however you speel his name. But one of the four musketeers is a woman disguised as a man. Although she’s not Latino, that works for me hehehe. And besides, she beat up D’artanagn in a sword fight. How cool is that? Okay I’m exaggerating. But its just the whole works of her character that just, just, just works for me. A woman disguised as a man in search of her brother and to escape the bounty on her head. She’s not that pretty but she’s quite a looker and she’s tough and she knows how to handle the sword well. I have a thing for this whole girl disguised as guy thing. Beauty concealed behind a tough exterior. Hmm, kinda like a chocolate with a caramel center. …now I’m hungry. But its almost unbelievable that they never noticed a beauty like her is a man! Well of course, she does have the broad shoulders, but those high cheek bones and those eyes!! +_+

…a girl disguised as a guy…where have I heard that before…

Downloads for Young Blades are not yet available because it was first aired on January on PAX in Canada and still airing here in Malaysia. So hmm, need to be a little patient on that.

Yeah yeah finals still going on. Reading tomorrow. No way I’m studying for this subject.

Anyway, I guess that’s all. I’ve been such a bum this days off I have. Nothing but eat, sleep and TV. I need more exercise man!!!!!

Okay, Ta’ra!

The Big Adventure!: Edited

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005

Yesterday I went on this big adventure. The destination wasn’t much, it was there for motivation. The destination was Parkson and the Golden Triangle. Like they say, its not the destination, but the journey that’s important. So I went there to the Golden Triangle. On foot.Took the bus home and had someone pick me up someplace else. Yep, I walked aaaallll the way from home. No kidding. its the fasting month too. Its like this, I started my journey around 2, after the afternoon prayer and using some back lanes, I reached Parkson about 44 minutes later. Man was I tired! But I wasn’t going to stop! Its a way to balance out my periods of inactivity. (and all the sinful endulgance of fried stuff -_-") Kept telling myself I’m not on the road to Parkson, but on the road to fitness. Sounds pathetic huh? But I enjoyed it.

Needless to say I walked through the crack of day when the sun was high. I wanted to bring along the small umbrella pocketed in the green car I always drive to class, but the car was gone when I was leaving. Apparently my sis took it out. Together with the umbrella. As I was going out the gate, my parents came back from their own little excursion to the border. They offered to drive me since it was hot as hell. But naaah, its the exercise I’m after, not the booty at the end of the line. hehehehe. It was nice of my dad too. He replenished my funds that morning (without me asking to!) But I only took half of that and the small change that I have. Wasn’t planning on buying much. (Although that pink shirt at Giordano is tempting).

I went through some places that I never thought I’d go through on my own. For one, I went through India Street (as part of the short cut), the old court house and the Main Bazaar. I actually asked for the route from my friend (Thanks man!)hehehehe. So once I reached there, you don’t feel like shopping much really, especially after you’re tired out from the long walk. But since I’m there, might as well check out some sights. I checked out the bookstores at Parkson and SP. I found 3 must-haves. 2 are series of a fiction I’ve been following and one is a new book of the Robert Kiyosaki Rich Dad’s Series. In addition, I found some Horrible Histories books which are a funny read. You’re learning history - and enjoying them! Most of the facts in the book are presented by cartoon illustrations. And I enjoy comic and I like history so they both go together. But all of these books would take a chunk of my money so I need to scrutinize them and then decide on the best one (and which one I can push the cost to someone else eg. ask them to give it to me as a birthday gift or something hehehehe). In the end, after going all the way to TJ and going back to Parkson, I decided to get one. The Demonata book one: Lord Loss. Its from the author of The Saga of Darren Shan and yea, the author is named Darren Shan. The Saga of Darren Shan is actually a saga of himself as a half-vampire. Well its more twisted than that, but go check it out. Its a good read. I think The Demonata is going to be another long series like the The Saga of D.S, but I’m not complaining! I also found Inheritance: Eldest the second book of the Inheritance Trilogy. The story is pretty twisted up and all over the place, like an anime addict teenager writing a fanfic (the author was fifteen when he write the first book). But then again, I’m not complaining all that much. Its a good story although reeks of Lord of the Rings and Eragon’s character is pretty inconsistent. And that’s putting it lightly. (He’s a disraught teenager at one point and then a noble warrior in another, then back as a disraught American teenager!)

But I’m not buying it yet. Kinda waiting for the paperback version to come out. Its still new, so hardback all the way. Hey I dont mind really, its easier to read because the weight of the cover holds itself down. But its mindlessly expensive for a one-time read. Well I re-read them from time to time, but not often. Hardbacks are good for collection because they last longer.

So anyway, yesterday’s venture turned out to be a mineral water shopping, in a sense. Its fasting month, I walked a mile and was thristy. A sprinkling bottle of Evian is very hard to resist given my situation you know. Food doesn’t tempt me much. I almost puke at the sight of a Pizza yesterday. Or one of those thick chocolate fudges or whatever empty calories they might have on display. Even a coke - well, I admit I was a little bit tempted but it was sitting next to a bottle of Excel isotonic drink and the word isotonic just blew me away. After two trips to the Giant supermarket, I finally exited with a large bottle of Eau Claire and a bottle of Excel. In addition to two regular sized Evians I had bought earlier hehehe.

You would have thought I’d be buying some imported chocolates at the Pop-In convinient store at SP, but I walked out with two bottles of Evian. They are hard to come by and they are expensive. These are the only places I can go to to get them. Evian is delicious. You can just taste the mineral on your tongue. And I bought the large bottle of Eau Claire in palce of a large Evian because, its 1/6 the price. And Eau Claire taste almost as good. *grins*

All in all, four bottles. And the chocolates? No thanks, spare me the calories. Fortunately, I dont have a sweet tooth although I crave sweet stuff sometimes, but it doesnt happen often. But instead, I have a ’salty’ tooth and prefer salty stuff. I don’t know if its any better of a substitute, at least they dont sell ready to eat salty stuff as much as they sell chocolate, except for pretzels and cheese sticks, to name a few. But salty stuff means two things to me: sodium and iodine. Sodium helps your body stores water. But an abundance of sodium held back water in your body, giving an increase of water weight and adding wobbly bits to your body you wish you hadnt. And iodine. Iodine encourages acnes. Need I say more? Most people don’t know it. They think chocolate is the chief culprit. But sorry to disappoint you guys out there. Its iodine and not chocolate although chocolate can add the oil contents on your face that can lead to acnes. And another downside: most salty stuff are fried stuff. Uh huh, fries, the occasional keropok lekor, McDs, and a few other stuff you care to mention.

But cheese is good. I’m making cheese biscuits for raya hehehe. But tonight, I’m not the one baking! Its someone else! w00t! This I gotta see!

So drink more mineral water everyone! Whee~

Ta’ra!

p/s this whole post looks like I’m doing a free promotion for Evian hehehe.

My ramblings on this health things. Read on if you like anything health and fitness-related. (I just GOTTA let this out!)

Fasting month is slowly entering the third week. Which means, its almost a month since I had my last cardio activity. Not that you can even count washing the car as ‘cardio’. I’m afraid of losing my stamina. A way for me to measure it is to do one of the ‘blast-off’ routine and see if I can last through the climax of it without sagging and seeing stars. Someone asked me to go jogging with them after the fasting month. Well, I’m going to take this seriously because the one who asked me is heavier than me:P. Besides, I’ve been looking to bump my routine too and there’s no new Denise Austin’s VCDs in the market. Her latest routines are all on DVD and only sold in the US and through her website. And since its DVD, its Region 1 DVD which means it wont work on local DVD players. Damn.

Although jogging can take its toll on your knees in the long run, its good exercise for the lower body. All the female trouble spots; thighs, butts, the whole leg muscles. Hey, if you want beautiful legs, you gotta work them. And heavier people burn more calories so my partner will burn more in the first few weeks than I do. Hey I’m not complaining - really! I’ve lost weight, I’m lighter now and its great! But its just that even though you’ve almost reach that ideal weight, there’s still a few bits you want to shrink. And its even harder to burn off those fat. You worked hard before, but now you have to work twice as hard. But that’s good - you gained stamina and with more exercise, more stamina. Good trade-off eh? hehehe

I started going on my exercise regime after SPM when I noticed I was seriously gaining weight. I had a poor diet but I didnt plan to do anything about it. One day my dad pointed out that I was gaining weight. And I know that once my dad said it, it was time to take action. But I waited until after SPM. I seriously wanted to feel good about myself. After SPM I installed a TV in my room specifically to play the PS2. So if I was going to game for long hours, I need to balance it out with a sensible amount of physical activities. Or else I’m going to get even bigger than before! Meeps!

But surprisingly, fasting month accelerated my weight loss. Well, mostly due to the lack of eating. And when breaking of fast, I try to drink a whole glass of water before eating. My sis avoids this. Of course, its common sense. If you drink a lot before or during eating, it would spoil your appetite. I used just this. I drink a lot so I wont eat too much. It took your body 20 minutes on average to notice that you’re full. In one of the succes stories I read, a guy who weights 220 pounds lose weight by drinking a pitcher of water before he eat. He exercises too of course. But that drinking before eating habit is a good way to control your food intake. But what worries me is that, you see, if you don’t eat, your body stores fat for emergency use. And these fat are the wobbly bits sticking out of your body. Same thing if you don’t drink enough, your body stores water, giving you extra water weight. These stored fat and water are what you need to get rid of. And I hope it won’t happen during the fasting month. I’ve been trying to move about as much as possible. Although lately the one doing most of the movement is my fingers. Typing on the keyboard. 0_0

One thing I want to point out here is fad diets. Hell - we all know they dont work! You can’t trust something that says ‘lose 10 lbs in 3 days!’ ads. Sure, you can lose 10 labs in 3 days if you deprives yourself of food. Then you’ll see, after 3 days, you’re going to gain more than 10 lbs. Not only fad diets dont work, they are dangerous for your health. Look, like it or not, you have to eat carbs. Low-carb diets are usually high with trans-fat - man-made fats thats even more destructive than fats in cooking oils. Studies show that people who eat a good proportion of carbs lose more fat in their bodies. How? Well, carbs is one of the complex fibers and it makes you feel full. Since digesting carbs take a while and the making of it is complex, they go down your intestines slower. And in the process, they bring along other stuff that might clog your intestions - like fat. As they go down to the ‘waste shute’ they bring along these fat and go down with them. And voila~! You have less fat in your body now.

So now you know why avoiding carbs is stupid.

I once know a girl who avoids rice like a plague. Her diet was pretty poor. In the day, she ate all kinds of junk food. You name it - chips, crackers, anything delicious. And she avoids drinking plain water. She spends most of her days sitting in front of the TV while eating crackers dipped in syrup. And the family keeps bottles of them, ready-made in the fridge. The parents are both professional people, PhD and a university professor. And you would have thought they know good eating habits! Goes to show just how smart PhDs are. And needless to say, this girl is overweight, perhaps almost obese. She avoids the scale and is very secretive of her weight. She once tried one of the ‘fad diets’. Lose 2 kg in 2 days, stopped at the 3rd day. *shrugs* Well, I dont need to mention the reasons for it. The word fad diets speak for itself.

And yet, she still avoids eating rice and replaced it with bread and lots of other junk foods a.k.a empty calories and trans fat. She thinks rice makes her fat because carbs translate into fat. Yeah right. Only unused carb translate into fat. And its easy to control because carbs make you full, preventing you the after meal snacks - the real enemies. And you know what? Despite being overweight, she points back at me who wont substitute rice for anything else! See whos overweight now huh? Do you see me getting overweight because I eat too much rice? Duh, no. When I asked her to exercise, she said she’s fine with how she is. She’s gaining more weight day by day and still avoids rice, even now. I was waiting to see if her theory is true, but so far I see no improvments.

Well, let me tell you what kind of complications people with this state of mind and their body will face. Remember how people like this say they are ‘fine the way they are’? Your heart pumps blood to more sections of the body and because of the clogged arteries, the heart beats faster. Its simple physics. Smaller passages create more pressure. Therefore these people have an unhealthy heart rate. Keep this up, and it may lead to heart diseases, diabetes, cancer and what else you care to mention. And by the way, you heart doesn’t enjoy it. One day its going to tell you and you won’t like what it’s saying.

Secondly, by depriving themselves off food and skipping neccessary meals, they are losing energy and most importantly, muscle mass. If your body doesnt get the fuel it needs, aka carbs, it will turn to something else for fuel; your muscles. Slowly it will eat away your muscles because junk food carbs does no good to it. And we all know muscles are important. Stronger, bigger muscles mean that you burn fat quicker. Muscle mass is important because it dictates your Basic Metabolism Rate (BMR) or in other words, how fast your body processes the food.

In conclusion, I must state that I am not against fat people. I was once almost labeled fat and I hated it. But I just want to destroy the myth out there that carb is bad for you. Ask any weight loss professional. All of them would tell you to eat your meals three times a day. Breakfast is especially essential. None of them would tell you to skip your meals and eat only simple carbs to maintain your weight. I was once dissed at by a teacher and someone who I thought was a friend for being conscious of my weight and what I eat. They said a teenager shouldnt worry about such things and just eat whatever. Yeah right. All problems like obesity and bad posture starts in the teenage years and I dont like ill-informed individuals to tell me how to do things the right way. Do your homework. I’m not the one scarfing down junk food just to make up for the lack of carbs. I eat my carbs and loving it. And yeah, I eat junk food too, but I’m under control. Unlike this friend of my who totally not in control.

I respect my body enough not to stuff it with nuclear waste in the form of junk food. I don’t expect the said girl feels the same about hers.

Geez, even if you are not into weight loss and is okay with your body weight, whatever it may be, don’t be dissing people who are. They are taking a positive step towards a healthier life, so let them be. And if you are already on that path, keep it up! Don’t let diet saboteurs stop you. In the end, you’re going to make them feel guilty.

And yeah, that’s the end of my rambling. My bladder is working extra fine tonight. Gotta go!

70th Post!

Friday, October 21st, 2005

Yay 70th post!!! Hahahaha. I made those cupcake the other day. The batter was watery and that worried me. The icing too, was watery. But I went ahead and they worked! The recipe said you can make 12 with the given amount of ingredients, and some people claim you can make 15 with these. But I only manaed 8! And I still thought they were small! O_O After they were done, I though it was supposed to be sponge-y like a sponge cake, but its actually smooth and creamy. w00t! ITS SO NICE! Oh btw, I still have 2 left hehehe. but the chocolate icing was too much though. Ah well. Maybe next time I’ll just do it without the icing. It tastes fine on its own.

Next time I wanna try that peanut butter muffin cupcake (cuffin for short) yum yum.

Yesterday we had our last class and its very tiring. Today I dont know if we’re supposed to have Reading or not, but what does it matter. There’s nothing new to learn anyway (its not like there’s anything new with reading. I hate that subject). Its just so useless!

And next week yes! Final exam! Yeah!

And after that more baking stuff hehehe.

So Ta’ra!

After a glass of tea and a banana

Monday, October 17th, 2005

Ugh, the stock market just opened and its definitely not going my way. This is a little depressing. Makes me realize how important strategy and timing is when it comes to exercising your options. Greed can make you lose. Man, I’ll roll out this Thursday. The options expire this Saturday. Third Saturday of the month for October. Hopefully I could get away with some small profits.

Oh yeah, his name is Edison Chen. I thought he looked familiar. He’s a big name in the Hong Kong movie scene. Reasons should be obvious. He’s also in the Initial D movie which I just watched. (I’m lagged, I know. But I was lazy. You can’t argue with that) Great movie. The trailer captured the ‘heart’ of the movie pretty good. Sometimes you get this really good trailer, but the movie doesn’t keep up. But not this. Action-packed, high speed racing all the way. And nah, I dont plan to watch the anime afterwards. Don’t want to catch up all the way to the fourth stage.

And by the way, Edison Chen was that handsome cop who died in that Chinese movie I watched a while back. He’s just too cool.

So today I went to India Street and bought all those ingredients and stuff I need for the cupcakes. Can’t wait to get started heh.

Tomorrow? That MUET-style assesment is coming. You know, that meeting one where they give you Task A and B. Its too easy if you ask me. Why the hell do you need to learn how to discuss? We’ve done it a lot even before this. What in the world is the Ministry thinking? Someone please go over there and knock some sense into them.

Oh, don’t bother.

See ya.

p/s I learned a new word today. Plutocracy. Look it up. *snickers*

The Golden Age of…black and white? O.o

Sunday, October 16th, 2005

So like, just now I watched this old black and white movie from the P. Ramlee era; Laila and Majnun. Somehow, the absurdity of it never fail to amuse me. Long gone are the days when lovers recite poem to each other to express how they feel or to convey a message. Those were the days when people speak in jargons and flowery langguages to hide their intentions or to clarify their their intentions. You just never see two people quarelling and rhyming and at the same time. One side would burst out laughing before the other one finishes. Imagine going to meet you boyfriend or girlfriend with a piece of paper in your pocket; the rhymes you jot down to ’speak’ to him/her. "Even if the sky was red, and the sea was yellow, I…errr, uhhhh…"

Comparisons:

Past couple: "Your beauty is like that of the full moon my love!" "Aaawww, I love you."

Modern couple: "Your beauty is like that of a full moon my love!" "What!? Does it look like I have a big old crater on my face!?"

How very ironic. The disadvantages of science. hehehehe.

That’d be something hehehe. Every date would be like a poem recital. Is chivalry really dead?!

In that movie, their love is the type of love that could feed a starving family. When the term ‘love will get us through’ was alive. Where did that era go?

Sadly, the greedy father got in the way and they both died. Ah well. Tis not unexpected. Its the Malay version of Romeo and Juliet after all. Just without the balcony. Wait, there was, but wasnt as dramatic as Romeo and Juliet’s.

Fun watch. hehehe. Pardon me though I am a bit of a classic movie fan. Like I said, the absurdity of it never fail to amuse me. Always a good laugh. I prefer watching a classic love story than a modern one. Love was much more meaningful then. Today there’s just…too much drama and such. I like those ‘courting the girl’ scenes when the guy do all kinds of silly stuff. And when he finally got the girl’s attention, they start running around the field, hugging trees and stuff, singing. Hilarity.

Today I found another cupcake recipe I might want to try. Its peanuts cupcake. Main ingredients include chuncky peanut butter and maple syrup. *drools* My one week break would be filled with doing these stuff. One recipe a day. :D

Oh and tomorrow is Econs test! And its 1 am and I barely studied. I read through the notes. Only took 20 minutes. No I’m not kidding! The notes are only that much! One reason why I like Miss Janice. She stays true to her words and gave us questions based only on the tutorials. I luvvles our lecturer :D!

I guess that’s all to say for now. Umm, wish me luck :D.

Ta’ra!

Mid-day dilemma

Saturday, October 15th, 2005

I wonder if I should start writing shorter blogs posts.

…Nah.

I always have a lot to say. Unless those occasionaly ‘mind blankness’. That doesn’t happen often hehehe.

There was no sahur today. I wonder if someone forgot to wake me up, if someone did, I didnt wake up or because there’s just no sahur tonight? Curious. Anyway, since the start of the fasting month, I havent done any cardio. So today, in my attempt to do some cardio, I went and washed the car. Wasn’t much of a workout, but at least I get to move around more than I usually do. Better than just sitting in front of the TV.

TV eh? Hmmm. I might just do that now. Its the weekend, there’s a few cartoons that only airs on Disney Channel on weekends hehehe. So what? I like disney Channel.

So to take my mind off food for a while, I watched the 3 eps OVA of Happy Lesson the Final just now. Its been around for a while, but ahvent got the mood to watch it. Its the final instalment of the Happy Lesson anime. And yeah, the ending was great! I wouldnt want it any other way too! Of course, would be better if it had dug in deeper into the ending though hehehe.

I know, I know, fasting month is all about sincerity and patience. (A person named Simon told me that :P) But I cant help but think about food once…in a while. *blinks innocently*. I saw this great chocolate fudge cupcake recipe during IT class yesterday and you know there’s nothing greater than to have something on paper translate to reality - so I decided to try it! Well not yet, have to get the ingredients together first. We have all of them except for a couple. So once I got those, can start right away! I somehow enjoy baking; A hobby I developed over my 8 months post-SPM sabbatical. I made cookies and biscuits back then. About twice a week. Yeah, shows just how bored I was. Since raya is coming, its about time I put those skills to use. And this cupcake look good too hehehe. I saw the recipe on a website and it seems simple enough to follow.

Small stuff like biscuits and cookies I can do and cupcake will be the first time. Cakes I’m not quite ready yet :D. Cakes involve too much work. I’ll leave those stuff to my mother hehehe. So, if I’m successful, you guys can look forward to it when you come over for raya~! ^_~ Till then my family will be the genuiea pig (or however you speel it)

Right, now I have to pray. And go watch TV. Probably. I dont want to take a nap. So later then!

Short ramblings here and there

Thursday, October 13th, 2005

Woah! Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of people putting up Prom pics on their profiles! I won’t lose! Or will I? Hmmm. The pics of me on Prom Nite scares me O_O! I didn’t know I look like that! And of course, I wouldnt be dressing like that again. I need to find my own style. Well, I’m working on it! :P

Finals is coming up in two weeks! Then we have one week break and then, Summer Semester begins! With only 2 subjects, I plan to do soemthing else on the side too :D. Well, for now I am stalking, scheming and plotting. Soon it will come to materialize. Errr, my plan that is. What else were you thinking?! O_O

We got the result for our math test today! Whew, I finally got above 80. It is an accomplishment for me. Because its been years since I got 80+ for my math! Yeah yeah I’m not smart, I know :P. When I see my overall highest possible marks, I cannot lose more than 3 marks in the finals to get that High Distinction! *screams*. I’d have to struggle! *runs to the tutors for help!* Oh yeah, someone is so  happy he got higher marks than me in math! Yeah I’m talking about you Owen. :P

Err I skipped today’s peer tutoring session because I was too tired. Its dangerous to drive. *nods sagely*. So instead I conserve my energy for math tutorial at 1230. Well, its only one session and you pay as much as you attend. *grins*

A final note. Jia Lin, I really think you should leave your lazy BF :P.

Okay that’s all. Ta’ra!
