Survey, anyone?

Thursday, September 29th, 2005

Lately I’ve been filling in way too many survey that I’ve been avoiding the library and whenever I see someone handing out questionaires, I pick up my books, hide my face and walk away. Why? Because the one handing them out is my friend who acts as the ‘agent’ and if she sees me she would definitely give me one. Or ask her friends to give me. Ugh. Its not that I dont like her. Nothing like that at all! Its just that, one or two once in a while is okay, but one every trip?! That’s too much!!

Also, the questionaires are from semester 2 foundation students mostly. So I guess its part of their assignment. I’ve had questionaires about langguage, online lifestyle, computer uses and some others I dont care to remember. But today was the cream of the crop I say. At the end of IT lecture, Victor handed us over to the admins people who came out of nowhere and handed us a bunch of questionaires to fill. We fill one sheet for one lecturer or tutor we have. I filled in like 6 sheets while others fill in 5. I have 5 lecturers and 1 tutor. That tutor is Miss Antionette who is not a lecturer since she only handles two of the four IT tutes. All of my lecturers, including my tutor, got good marks, except two. Namely Victor and Miss Mary, who teaches us Reading For Academic Purposes (and why the hell do we have to learn how to read anyway!?). I put a lot of SD (Strongly Disagree) options that carries only 1 mark in the questionaire :P. One of my friends even go "woah, that’s harsh!" Hey I’m just expressing my opinion. She, too, doesn’t like that lecturer (almost all of us don’t, really). Its not her, (sorta) but its how she teach. She doesn’t teach! That’s what her problem is. And I’m a good student *adjusts her halo* and I don’t like walking out of a class thinking that I haven’t learn anything.

Mind you, I made a point to have learned something each time I go to a tute, or a lecture. At the end of each survey sheet, they put this large box that took half of the lower part of the paper for you to write any comments on the lecturer. For Victor I wrote "No comment. Keep up the good work" Yeah right. And Mary, I simply put "No comment" In my opinion, this is going soft. But for my other 3 lecturers and tutor, I put stuff like "I like Miss Janice :D" And yeah, I did include a little grinning face too. :D And Miss Antionette was something like "Nobody can read off the slides like she can." Hahahaha.

Today I had like, 2 glasses of carrot juice. That Power Juicer works. But the pulp aren’t dry. Partly because the fruit was wet when I stuff them in. It still leaves a lot of pulp but you stll get 30% more juice. Its not like I bother to count, but usually the same amount of carrot I used to fill up a glass of the previous juicer, I used less to fill up my glass this time. So not 100% customer satisfaction from me, but at least you dont have to cut so much. And it doesnt get stuck like some other juicer. But the part I dislike the most is cleaning it afterwards. Theres so many pieces and pulps and stuff. :/

I actually have homework, but let’s talk about some random wisdom here. Let’s talk about relationships. I notice that wherever you go, you are bound to find girls in groups. And one thing I notice is that, no matter how close they seem, or how close they say they are, there’s always that event when they would talk about each other behind their backs. I’m not lying. Its the truth. I even asked my other friends if they had experienced it. Most snorted and said "of course!" or something equivalent to it. So is this like a trend? Usually when one member of the ‘group’ goes and talks to someone outside the group or starts talking to only one member, they are usually talking about one of their ‘friends’ and trust me, they are certainly not complementing the girl’s hair. when they come to me and start acting like that, I say "aren’t you two are like, close?" the usual reply I get is "Yeah, but she’s like this, like that." To be honest, I feel sorry for these people. I mean, they are supposedly friends right? SO why can’t tell it to her? If she had done soemthing wrong, tell her. If not, she will be oblivious to it and keep doing the same thing. What would be more embarrassing? Your close friend or some guy on campus comes up to you and tell you there’s something hanging in your nose?

The answer to that should be obvious. Although to me, if I really mess up I always allow only this one person to give me a telling off. Some other people can do so, but none of them could do it as graceful as she does :P. The point is, its better if someone you are close to to point out your mistakes than someone you barely know. Imagine if some guy you don’t know suddenly come up to you and say "You’re such a snob! Who do you think you are anyway? You dress like a clown!" You could immediately go something like this "You idiot! What do you know about me anyway?" But imagine if someone you respect or a close friend say that to you, in the same tone. For sure you would heed her words. Or in the least, take it into consideration. Just imagine this happening to you and you’ll understand what I mean. Instead of telling everyone else about your friend’s fault, or even discussing it, tell her damn it! She won’t change unless she knows what was wrong!

Communication breakdowns can cause devastating outcomes.

Not saying I didn’t learn. I learned. And learned I did!

So on to trading! I bought some more options yesterday. Some calls on CHK. I couldnt help it really. I must say that I’m not as expert as Mr. Foong and I’m driven mostly by isntincts and how ‘pretty’ the chart is. Although one thing that makes me worried is those options I bought and sold in IBM. The Moving averages indicates a bearish market but its been going up the last two days….that I will have to wait and see. Seems like Microsoft and IBM are supposed to go down but the chart for now is heading ‘north’. That’s why I like virtual trading. Real market, fake money. Hehehehe. The only way to do it is to just do it. I used up all of my virtual fund (can add more if I want) and bought whatever options I want. From there I watch if my predictions are right. Its easy to know if you’re right or not. If you’re making money, you’re right. If not, then you’re wrong. Its so simple. But I must say, I’m glad I bought those Puts from Microsoft despite everyone else not wanting to (Including Annie :P). Because, not long after…it went down. Like, way down. Check this out http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.web?c=MSFT,uu[m,a]daclyyay[pb50!b20][vc60][iUb14!La12,26,9]&pref=G see the long lines of red bars through out of September? Yeah, that’s where I made money. *grins* Virtual money, but still money. If only I had put down real money instead hehehe.

If all goes well, I might be ready to trade with real money by the end of next year! YAY! The Four Seasons awaits me!!!

One last topic! Fitness! Yes, fitness! Through random reading, I found out that fitness measures not how fast you can run, how heavy you can lift or how strong your resistance is. Its actually the your body’s rate of recovery from doing these activities. To find out if you’re fit or not, try run around all day (like doing treasure hunts at the cultural village) and not stretch afterwards. See if you have cramps the next day. *snickers* I didn’t. And I know I should have stretched afterwards but I didn’t and I didn’t have cramps too the next day. So that means, not trying to brag (or maybe just a little) that I’m fit. *big toothy grin* while my two other, ahem, team members got cramps. I do workout often and challenged my muscles to constant resistance exercises. That treasure hunt activity has been a great indicator and motivator. Now I know all those hard days are paying off! Just like my options trading! Yay! This kind of moment makes me want to hug someone. Oh well, why not right? *hugs her boldster(gulin)* Hehehehe. Oh and the most important person of all!!!! Myself! *hugs herself* Hahahaha.

Oh and another thing. I was reading the papers today, at the Siwnburne library. I had a 2 hour break before my next class so I spent the first hour reading papers (just updating myself on the plight of the ‘iron lady’ concerning the APs) and on current events. I like the complaints page or the letters to the editors page the most. In one of the articles by one of the newpaper’s journalists, it said something about the Malaysian Bad Habits and stuff like the ‘Malaysian time’ and how we could casually stroll into a ceremony that started an hour earlier.

Something interesting she added at the end of the article was ‘National reason for coming late to work: traffic jam, National Reason for getting a sick chit: flu, National reason for women to skip work: menstrual pain, National cure for headaches: Panadol and National cure for headache if Panadol doesn’t work: Minyak Angin Cap Kapak. National Reason for getting a traffic jam for no reason: Slowing down to watch an accident at the other side of the road.

LOL ROTFL oh my God the last one was SO Malaysian! Hahahaha!!! You just gotta love this country.

And speaking of surveys, does anyone think this blog is even interesting? And what about this whole blog on the overall? 5-Very interesting, 4-interesting 3-okay, 2-not bad 1-err no comment.

Lol, just kidding! Although I do appreciate comments *grins*

I’m on the run! We were just finished with our oral group presentation with the title STD and next we have to do our IT assignment and then complete the report for the Oral presentation. So see? I still have a lot of big rocks to get done with. And to top it off, we have finals soon. *screams insanities* Right now I’m running from all these stuff.

I would like to share with you today the pics I used for my presentations. Because we can’t put pics of the exact diseases, we had to be creative! Since I’m going to talk about the most common and nastiest STDs, I had to find some pics that has some connEction to the diesease. First up, Chlamydia which symptoms include: vaginal discharge, infertility and abdominal pain Abs. The next one is Syphilis. Symptoms include ulcers and rashes that appear at the first two stages of developments. Imdoomed Needless to say that I heed the warnings of my dear friends and didn’t type ‘rash’ or ‘warts’ at google image search. Oh wait, I did. On the rash thing. But immediately close them :D. OK, next is Genital Warts. So I went looking for pics of cartoon warts. This is what I used. Warts Hehehehe. Hilarity.

Oh and last Sunday I joined this amazing hunt thing at the Cultural Vilage. It was great. We were the only Malay group there hehehe. We were group number one, but we came in last LOL! I had quite a workout too that day, running around the cultural village. Trio As you can see, we all had a theme going on. cream and black. And ours is the only group that wore similar clothes. Everyone else were colorful hehehe. Team spirit! Oh and that other girl is Kak Muneera. *waves at Kak Muneera* The requirements for the amazing hunt was to have a group of 3. Must have at least one girl and one international/outstation student. Kak Muneera was an outstation student to fill our requirements. And this whole thing was my sis’s idea. She’s the one who wanted to join. So she dragged me and told me to drag along someone to fill the requirements. *sighs* and there we were. BUT! It was fun! And I tried a peanut butter and banana sandwich for the first time! HAHAHA. We got lucky on that too. SOme people got gross stuff like onions and ketchup in the sandwich. I dont eat these stuff so it might not be gross to you. But some other teams got drinks instead. I know a team who drank vinegar+soy sauce+orange juice.

Uuugghhh!!!!

Okay I’m getting tired and I told myself I’m going to catch up on my sleep tonight. So like, ta’ra! And hope you like the pics. :D Tomorrow I have to dive into the storm again.

p/s A HUGE thanks to my group members for an amazing presentation! You guys did great! I’m proud of you guys! You’re the coolest! Yeah!!! Okay I’ll stop.

My Life So Far version 2

Friday, September 23rd, 2005

Hello! My its been a while! I’m happy to get my connection back! Which I lose due to my own ’simplicity’. (it means stupid by the way). Anyway let’s not get into that. So! This is going to be a very long post to make up for my lack of posts so sit back, relax, and enjoy this crap! I put them under different colors for different sections so in case you lose your way or had to go to the loo and forgot where you drop off, just follow the colors! :D

First up, I’m gonna talk about Tactics. That anime I watched recently. Its one of thsoe rare animes I watch without any ill-feeling at the end. I suspect there’s going to be a second season or something for this anime because the ending indicated another ‘beginning’. Hmmm. Might stay around for that. Oh yeah! Pics! I got the screen shots of those weird couple in Tactics. I actually used DivX to get these screen shots because it wont work with winamp for this anime. Enter the Muu-chan!Muuchansweatdrop And her husband, Sugino-sama! Sugino …I told you they are a weird couple.

But Muu seems to be very affectionate towards Kantarou. When they first met, Kantarao and his Tengu servant, Haruka, were in the hot Spring. Haruka threw a pail at Kantarou, missed, and hit Muu instead, who was sitting on the rocks, watching them. Kantarou did CPR to save Muu’s life. That’s probably why he’s taken by Kantarou. Weird. Sugino is unaware of this fact by the way. And he’s always jealous of Kantarou, which fueled his hatred towards humans more. Subjectofjealousy

Why Sugino hated humans so much was…very suspect. When they asked why he hated humans so much, his reply was "Because in the past, humans fried coconuts."

Any of you lived long enough to know how people fried coconuts? O.o However, after a little incident, his attitude towards humans changed a little and he grew to like humans, although he still dislikes Kantarou. Its a love-hate relationship even though he and Kantarou team up a lot. Spontaneously. hehehe. But despite Muu’s constant ‘travelling’ and seems like she’s cheating on him, Sugino is happiest when he’s alone with Muu-chan and took great pleasure in feeding her grubs. Yeah, grubs. As in worms and bugs. He would always hug and admire and squeal at Muu-chan’s eating face. You gotta admit. That little green wife of his is cute. Hug Muu-chan seems too carefree that one wonders if she even care if Sugino worries about her or not. Stuck

I’m abusing my pic capacity here. I have a 50 pics limit monthly and its almost the end of the month.

Given the chance, I want to hug Muu-chan too!! :D

Remember the FFVII:Advent Children movie download? Its going alright, going slowly. The download of the OVA for that movie, FFVII:Last Order was complete but now I dont know either I should watch it first. I don’t know which one to watch first. This one or the movie. So I’m gonna ask around and wait for the movie to finish download before I do anything. Now the next problem would be…where to store it? Its a shame to just leave it on the HDD. I wanna burn it! But I’d need a DVD burner, and a DVD. Hmmm.

And talking about download, it should be a crime that your upload rate is higher than your download rate! What’s this? Upload rate is 12kbps, but download rate only 1kbps!? That’s unfair man! Proportional is proportional, but this is torment!

*mutters unintelligible things*

Now onto trading. I’ve been rather active on the market these past couple of days and guess what? I FINALLY MADE MONEY!!!! YAY! Let’s celebrate! Hahaha. But what a shame it was only virtual money. But money is money and this is real-time market condition here! I was talking about stocks and stuff with Omar tonight and he showed me a stock of PVH (NYSE). The one here is CPH btw, the one I just added is PVH. Its been going sideways but as I draw the support and resistance line, its breaking the trend and going bearish. PvhAs for CPH, its been going up, but I notice a long red bar at the top. So I drew a trend line, as Mr. Foong directed. Shame on you, Omar! You dont even know how to use the features on the web! tsk tsk tsk. Trend Hehehe. Mind the ‘here’ text though. I just use it to point the trend line. Its MS Paint! What do you expect?!

By the way, Omar has been eyeing that stock. He’s getting ahead way than me! Aaarggh!!! I should start reading Forbes site more.

Tonight I screened through OptionsXpress and found some great options. Actually, a lot of them. But I only pic one. Damn that comapny’s stock is falling like a snowball going downhill! I saw a great opportunity for some put options. So I went and bought some! :D. I should have bought more. But I kept going back and forth between these chart-quotes-virtual trade pages that I lost track of them! I should use Mr. Foong’s strategy and open a separate window for charts. Glad I have the snapcharts from stockchart.com still open. Very handy :D. You want to know the premium of each options and at the same time, see where the stock is going, so both is crucial before you start trading.

*sage nods*

Its a down market man! I love down markets! For now that is. The trend is bearish. And as they say, the trend is your friend, I so liking my friend here hehehe.

So next, how about my failed attempt at repaying my fasts? I already replaced the previous Ramadhan ones now I’m paying my nazar. I have 2 more days left. One for my SPM, one for…something else I need in my Swinburne days. Better not talk about that now. hehehehe. I’m glad I haven’t made a nazar for parking spaces yet there. We’ll get to that later.

Actually I was planning to fast today but my mom forgot to call me and I forgot to say the ‘niat’ too. When I woke up this morning, looking for my peanut butter and jelly sandwich I had prepared for the dawn meal, they were gone! *squeals* Needless to say my mom ate them because she thought I was fasting and turned out I’m not! Grrrrr. SO I made a new one. And I left the matter there. Dont have any mood for revenge. But tomorrow I shall be fasting. Despite having econs replacement class.

And talking about Swinburne, parking is so hard to get there these days. So starting next week, there’s going to be a new system. At certain times of the day, they are going to close the main gate or when parking is full and keep only the exit gate open so people can go out but not come in. Its a stupid system and should have been dealt with a long time ago. But we’re all coping. Good luck to you all! Whos’s driving to Swinburne that is. But lucky for me, I have morning classes everyday except Friday and even then, I’m not driving. So yeah, all is cool. I hope.

I notice the pileup of assignments. I’m glad they are group assignments though. But one thing I notice is that…why do I always have to do the computer stuff!? *mutters* To my group members, one of these days one of you guys are going to have to do it. And yes, they appear to be the same people again. I’m not complaining. They are capable people I can get along with in a group and by now we know about each other’s pace. Evil lecturer gave our IT assignment 2 at the last minute! *suppresses temptation to say evil words*

Furthermore, we have to submit our IT AND Oral assignment NEXT WEEK! Gaaaahhh!!!

Plans plans. I actually have plans this weekend. We’re joining this ‘Amazing Hunt’ thing at the Cultural Village by one of the clubs in Swinburne. The club president who’s hosting this event said its going to be great and since it was my sis who initially wanted to join, I just played along. The requirements stated that you must have at least one girl and one international (or outstation) student in your group. We handled that! There isnt much international student in my class, but we got plenty of outstation students. So thats it. Problem solved!

On to my next subject - sacrifices! I found out in order to get that HD I need to put up more time for studying than I do now. Hmmm. Now there’s something to think about. Anything for that HD. But HDs are not everything and even if I dont get straight HD I won’t despair! I gotta start moving things to the altar! Its an expression I made up not long ago. It means to give away sacrifices. You know how in the old days people put sacrifices like food, and living things on the altar as a sacrifice to the deity or something? Its the same thing. Just in an expression. So Instead of using food or living things (eg humans, animals, your annoying little brother) I sacrifice my play time. And invest them for studying. That’d do me good. *sage nods nods*

I sure am talkative today. But that’s okay hehhe. You guys like it right? Oh yeah! One more thing! I heard just recently there’s a rumor going around that Ezra (who people assumed is my partner) is paying for my prom ticket. Well, guess what? I WISH! Ezra havent even paid for his own ticket you know! So how the hell could I get him to pay for mine? (Although that’d be a great relief to my own tight wallet :D) And I just lose the early bird offer. If I paid by today, I could get the 53 price, but if I pay by next week, I pay 55.

Only 2 ringgit difference. *shrugs* Hope more of you guys could go to the Prom Nite. This is my first time and probably last I would go to a Swinburne Prom Nite so I’m going! Since my sis is in her final year too. And that dress is almost ready too.

*sighs* I miss my video game days. I wish Suikoden Tactics game, Rhapsodia, would come out quickly. Its probably the only game I’m going to play right. My PS2 has been demoted to nothing more than a DVD player, the poor creature. Hehehehe.

OK fine. I know its late. I’ll submit! And go to sleep! So like, good night everyone! Ta’ra!

Post from outside home

Wednesday, September 21st, 2005

Now some of you my regular fans might notice the lack of posts recently. Well, I can fix that! You see, for the past few days, my connection has been down, down, down, DOWN! *SCREAMS INSANITIES*

Thanks to that, my long-awaited, highly anticipated FFVII movie download are on hold. And I just found out there’s another FFVII movie that comes with the boxset of the actual movie but sold only in Japan. This is available in Fansub by the way. Gotta love them hardworking guys and girls of the fansub community. We love you!

This is the first time I’m blogging outside home. Here this Swinburne PC is not bad. The connection is faster than at home! w00t! I wanted to post pics from the Tactics anime in my blog when I get my connection. I wonder what’s wrong with it O.o. Not much to say but this though. Later then.

Over a cuppa tea

WHERE IS IT?! WHERE IS IT!?!?!? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!! My specs! My life! I didnt take it out of my bag after…after the video watching in the lecture hall on FRIDAY!!! O_O! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! I couldnt have elft it there could I!? What if I did?! And it was dark too! NOOOOO!!!!! If this persists, I might have to go out and buy a new one tomorrow *sniff* I know. Pretty quick huh? But my specs is my life. I almost cant survive in class without it! *cries* Hrmmmm

Today I covered math for the test on Tuesday. Or mostly anyway. But the time well spent I guess. Ironed out some creases. And not just on the veil :D. Tomorrow we have econs test 2~ I studied for them yesteday. I wonder if I should go through the notes again. Maybe just a bit then eh? Although I have always been opposed of having high marks academically, but what the hell - go for it!

But the thing with exams is, I have always like doing things my way even though I know the straight way of getting that full marks. Just cite back whatever you got from the lecture notes and you’ll definitely get full marks. But then your answers will be identical to everyone else’s. And I dont like that. Even if my answers are going to be the same, I would like some personal touches to them. Uniformity? Whatever. Once you enter the business world, its those little things that matters. Those small things that sets you apart from the competition. And the extra edge that gets you ahead. Or in another words, I’m just being rebellious. The econs lecturer is ’spoon feeding’ us with the notes and stuff. And I’m not the only one who notice. She’s very specific on what she teaches and focuses on what’s going to be in the exam. Well, its doing my marks good. So whos complaining right? TJust take whatever you can, really.

And to my dear friends for showing me such depressing pics tonight :P. Thanks for email anyway Owen. But my other friend (aka Omar) just had to add! When the tip of the pic appeared as I scroll down the page, I stopped and closed it :D. The people who created the email and the site my two ‘O’ friends showed me got their message accross though; Sometimes you need to be very graphic about it. The sad truth is this world. There’s just no hiding them. May God bless you all.

Eh no…that’s not the end of it. I went downstairs not long ago and made a glass of tea. I wanna say a cup of tea, but its in a glass and a cup is too small, unless you store the rest in a pot and carry them around with you. That’s troublesome. So a glass it is. While I wait for the tea bag to assimilate with the water, I fumbled around the Jack Lalane’s Power Juicer my mom stored on the fridge, boxes and all. I wasnt satisfied that she stored them back because the juicer didnt actually showed the results on TV. But whatever it was, it couldnt’ be worse than our current juicer. Or a blender. Whatever fits. Its a waste to leave it up there. So I fumbled around it, pretending like I know it better than anyone. *grins*. Put it together and stuff just to see how it looks like and what need work and all. So after I put it together, I dismantled it again. And put it back into the box and onto the fridge. My mom asked me why I put it back. She thought I wanted to use it. I did, but it was too big to be put anywhere else. And there’s nothing to ‘juice’ at the moment. So as you can see, the act of opening it  and putting it back together seems rather useless now.

….uh

But anyway, it needed some cleaning before I’m going to use it. And since I’m fasting tomorrow, I wont be using it tomorrow too. Maybe on Tuesday. Just get the carrots ready! Nisfu Sya’ban tonight, so there’s only 2 weeks to go before Ramadhan! Ha~ fasting month is right around the corner. I’m certainly ready for it! But before that - I want my mooncake!!!

WAAAAHHH!!! Great news! I JUST GOT THE TORRENT FOR FFVII:AC movie!!! THREE CHEERS FOR FARAH!!! Not me - my Norwegian counterpart! I know its uhh…not good…but who cares?! I want the one with Japanese voice and English fansub! And good for me, (and the fansub community) that it has yet to be released in the US. Those are going to be with English voices. Eeww. Anyway! Its downloading - and I’m happy!! Yay!

And yeah…hmmm…

That’s about it I guess. Gonna let the download run for now. Since I finished downloading Tactics my connection is once again free. :D. All that’s left now is burning them for backup. I already arranged Tactics into separate folders and ready for burning. But this FFVII movie is 708 MB and cdr capacity is only 700. I wonder if I can compress it. Or in worse case scenario…I have to burn it onto a dvd too. WOnt worry about that now.

WOAH!! A mozzie suddenly descend in front of me! Brave little fellow. Too bad it died an unhonorable death. By my slap!

Well time to end this I guess. Have some stuff to do before bed. Ta’ra!

The Pleasures of Life ~

Saturday, September 17th, 2005

Haaa~~ I finally finished watching all 25 eps of that anime! It has one of the weirdest looking married couple I’ve ever seen in anime history! The husband was a super bishounen, long black haired White Tengu. Tengu is a certain type of demon, but he’s a guardian type, with white wings. And his wife? A green…uh…thing. Remember kogepan? Like that, only green. Same size, same height. And her husband, Sugino is constantly jealous because his ‘wife’ is very affectionate to the main character, Kantarou. And it doesnt help since his wife, named Muu always leaves the house without telling. Making Sugino constantly dropping by Kontarou’s to ‘confiscate’ his wife from him. Hehehehe. Anyway, it was a very good anime. Great ending. Sometimes you got this really great anime but the ending spoiled it. Although I do wish they would divulge more into Kantarou’s background. I was just thinking, since Kantarou has short silver hair, although they didnt say his hair was silver in the story itself (its anime style after all) he could almost become Hisoka in Yami No Matsuei or The Descendant of Darkness as the English name goes. Then he would be the love target for the delicious Dr. Muraki. (who, like Michael Jackson, has a thing for pretty young boys. hahaha. Nah. I dont have anything against MJ. And I do think he was framed in that trial.) That’s a nice thought eh hehehe.

By the way, that anime I watched. Its Tactics. Still available on BT on animesuki.com and Im still seeding the first half of the anime. Before, the upload rate was 24++ kbps. Now I limit it to 10kbps. Dont want it taking up the whole connection :P.

I went to the library today. Initially, I planned to study there from 11 till 3 pm. But my friend couldnt make it (has some diorrhea problems -_-") so I went there later. ABout 12. When I started reading through my notes, it took less than an hour! Heck - dont ask me! I was surprised too! Even after all my re-reading, I still managed to finish them under 2 hours (excluding my walk around the library and the bookstore :D). So I went back early. By 2:15 I was already out at the carpark. I debated whether or not to go home to fetch my homework and do it there. But I dont like the idea of leaving my stuff unattended on the table for too long. Plus, there’s this kid at the table beside me that kept looking at me…creepy. On my way back, I stopped to buy some magazine. And spent the rest of the day watching anime and replying email.

I was fasting today and its easy to get fatigue and tired and headache when you’re fasting. I thought I wouldnt be able to do tone ups today. But I did and it actually gave me more energy O_O. Weird eh? Planning to do more of those tomorrow too. And headache was gone too. At the same time, I received the daily newsletter from the Denise Austin website. The article was for Moms To-Be. It said how exercising has a list of benefits for pregnant women. It said there exercise can relieve you of fatigue and stuff, although you still have to be careful and stop exercising when experiencing cramps and stuff. Well…I dont think any pregnant women are reading this post so I’ll stop there.

Either way, tis good. Because I couldnt possibly do cardio in the fasting month. And these mozzies are annoying meee!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

I killed three in my room and a couple in the bathroom. I piled up their pathetic little bodies on the desk as a warning for other mozzies but they kept coming!! This is annoying! But I must admit, there’s nothing quite like the pleasure of slapping the damn thing and watching it lay dead on your desk. Yes, that’s it you little demons. VICTORY! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

*Shrieks* its 1 am! I must go to bed because I have to get up at 4 again! Well I will sleep again afterwards anyway but still! Well, bed calls! Da jia wan an~!

Friday, September 16th, 2005

Actually I wanted to watch more anime before bed but nah, not gonna happen tonight. Because I’m fasting again tomorrow, despite the fact that I’m going to the library with my friend. Yep, its study time. Can watch anime again afterwards. Just get done with studying first. Have tests coming up after the weekend. 20%!

Tomorrow is econs. Going to cover all the topics. I hate lugging around that thick lecture notes book. And dont they know that the aircond there is too cold!?

I actually have some random wisdom to impart today, but I forgot. By the way, I almost thought IT tute was canceled today! Of course I WONT BE HAPPY! I like that tute! Its because when I went there there was only one guy waiting and the lab was locked. No teacher, no students. So I hang around for a while and later went back down to look for some other students in my tute. I found some in the library earlier but now they are gone. So I left my bag at the library rack and went up to the lab again. This time, eveyrone was there! Including the tutor! She said the previous lecturer was supposed to give her the keys but she left them at the office instead so we all waited for Victor to fetch the keys while I go back down to grab my bag! And then in we go! I must say, nobody can read things 100% off the slides like our Mistress can hehehe. Despite her reading, it still sound great. Unlike Victor. He doesnt read from the slides, but his constant (long) pauses were enough to derail my attention. Only my determination kept me going.

How does my determination kept me going? Well, imagine a car. It can run smoothly, but no aircond, no stereo. Not a pleasant drive, right? But its moving. That’s how I felt during his lectures. At least now I only see him once in a week. And thats during the lecture. Its worth it waking up at 11 am(which is early for me) to attend the tute on Friday and giving up my place in the Tuesday tute with Victor. ^_^.

I visited grandmother tonight. She was not as healthy as before, but she’s still the coolest ;). We have to tone her down on the walking. She complained of knee pains. I dont doubt that she took the opportunity to go around the market or something, that needs long walks whenever she thinks her legs can take it. -_-". She’s restless!

I guess that’s all to say really. Dont have much comment on everything else lately.

Ta’ra!

p/s watermeloons are good! And thats not a typo. I call it watermeloons intentionally.

The Last Class

Thursday, September 15th, 2005

Tonight was the last class for my Mandarin course. Sad? No. I still have tongue twisters left and my mind still speaks in Mandarin as of now, trying to convert every word into Mandarin. That will take a while to untangle though. We all qualified for the Intermediate Class but that would be in a couple of months or so. Well I wouldnt want to start right afterwards anyway. Ramadhan is coming and the earliest I want to start is after Hari Raya (Eid). Lao Shi reminded us to keep practicing regardless if we’re continuing to the Intermediate class or not.

What’s happening tomorrow hmm? IT tute! Miss Antionette! ^_^ Ha~ don’t you just love it? I hope Victor doesn’t hang around long tomorrow. Better if he’s not there at all! Ohh and guess what? I went to the peer tutoring today! Yay! I got the twins tutors. I don’t know who was the one with me though. But he’s funny. He confused himself. Hehehe.

And also I’ll be fasting tomorrow. Should have done that some time ago, really. Last minute things…bad. I actually wanted to watch the anime I just downloaded before going to bed. But since I have to wake up early for sahor (late supper) at like, 4 am, I might as well sleep now and watch them anime while I tone up and wait for the food to digest. :D. Yeah I’ll just do that. Now Im tired. So, good night!

Seeking Equilibrium

Wednesday, September 14th, 2005

Once again, I feel like everything is in shambles. Didn’t the organizer work? It does. Its just that, there’s nothing urgent much going on and I havent been filling it in and writing down stuff to do. I think I need to add in the homework and stuff. Minor, but still important. I added in time to study since we have another test coming up on Monday next week. Other than the fact that I’m totally unprepared for our oral group presentation.

…Back to the library again for me. This time, however, I bring along slaves. I mean, friends err colleagues. Whatever.

All this daily workout is sucking the energy out of me! I always feel too tired to do anything afterwards. Even though exercise is supposed to ‘give you energy’. Well, in the long run perhaps. Have to reach that goal before fasting month.

Be strong.

I wonder if I can do workouts on Thursday after my final mandarin class this week? Hmmm. Have to work on that. And tomorrow…what’s going on tomorrow? Ah yes, peer tutoring. I didn’t go to last week’s one. Well, actually I did, but I just…didnt go to the class. Dont blame me. I know its my fault. I was being a wimp that day (we all are a bit, arent we?). But a whole day of math and IT…here’s another reason to be strong.

tap tap tap. Tapping the keys, thinking. Dont know what else to say.

Okay I found some. You people in econs class know what economic equilibrium is, right? Yeah, that’s it. Balance. When the supply and demand agree wth each other and established a price. So balance. Nothing to do with the actual balance beam though. I wouldnt mind having a go if its no more than 2 feet high. ;]

But its very important to be balanced. In everything. That’s what I’m trying to do. But I’m still a bit biased in the food department. I no like veges. But you have to take it. Green leafy ones are the best. And thank God I happen to like them better. But since we usually cook our veges, depriving them off their natural nutrients, and instead, added more calories to them, I’ve opted for a healtier option:

Carrot juice!

My mom bought a lot of them and chopped them to small pieces and leave them in the fridge. So all I have to do is take them out and shove them down the juicer. Convinience. But stupid blender always left a lot of pulp. And about half the carrot are still left in them, but became big chunky pulps. Seen the Jack LaLane Power Juicer? Now thats my thing. My mom actually bought it, but screwed up somewhere and it didnt work quite properly. Perhaps I should like, take a look? That thing is expensive and its quite a waste to just leave it a top of the fridge like that really. :/

Juicing is good for you. (duh)

Right. Now is like what? Bed? Ta’ra!

Just one before bed…

I’m like, tired. Even though I took a two hour nap in the afternoon after class. Must be those two hours of workout I did that done me in. Finally got the tasks divided with the others for oral presentation. Owen’s getting all the info. Good for me. I don’t want to search for them info and end up looking at them pictures. If he goes "WOW! *twitches**closes quickly*" on them, enough said about me. Thanks to my photographic memory, those images could get burned in my head for months. Now I’m tired. Bed. Night.
